Release: v0.0.9 X-Mode Beta
🕑 Added 2017-10-20 13:40:49 +0000 UTCEDIT: We recommend using GOOGLE CHROME to play since Firefox still has general issues with displaying hmtl5 Web_GL smoothly that we can not influence. Microsoft Edge seems to be somewhere in the middle. Please feel free to share your experience with those or any other browser (and version) :)
Dear patrons, followers and visitors,
we are very excited to tell you that the Beta Version of our X-Mode is finally ready to be released.
What it contains:
This version consists of our intro character Anaela's complete playable content in what I think is already a pretty solid stage of polishing. That means there's a short tutorial as well as two consecutive stages with one animated XXX Scene each and individual level design.
While the first level is designed to help you adapt the basics of the gameplay, the second stage is a bit more challenging to give you an impression of what X-Mode will be about in the future. In later versions we might therefore give Anaela an easier second stage to make for a smooth entry into the game.
There's also lots of new sounds, effects, little animations and such, maybe you read some of my updates lately ;)
What it does NOT YET contain:
The next version after this beta will be our first public release. The playable content will be about the same, but it will have a proper intro and outro since it will be the actual intro to the whole game and story in the end.
Also, after completing all stages there will be a success screen that gives an impression on how you will be rewarded your first XP and collectibles. Maybe I will include another Power-Up, too to mix things up a bit.
Other than that, there are a few smaller adjustments and additional effects that we'd like to put in - plus whatever comes up in the course of this Beta.
Lastly, I hope to include a small highscore system to make it worth playing again until there's more. That's a little bit more complicated technically though, but I'm already looking into it.
Release Schedule:
Anyways, we promised to give this to all of you that support us in this early stage, so the only thing to consider are the different levels of early access.
We will send out your access links as follows:
- 7$ and more: Today, October 20 2017
- 5$ : October 25 2017
- 3$ : October 28 2017
On October 30 2017, I will additionally post the link for archival purposes.
Feedback:
It would be amazing to get your input on this release. There are lots of things that we're interested in, including but not limited to:
- general feedback: do you have fun?
- difficulty and learning curve of controls and level design
- how many tries did you take to complete the stages
- what are your highscores and how fast or slow do they increase
- how is the performance, do you get any stuttering, how powerful is your machine
- do you encounter any bugs? If yes, try to be as precise as possible on what you did, make screenshots if helpful etc.
- ...and whatever else you want to say ;)
Now all that's left to say is:
HAVE FUN!
Zanzo & Cucu <3
