T La Rock & Jazzy Jay - It's Yours (Drum Pattern No. 95)
🕑 Added 2023-08-02 10:20:03 +0000 UTCThis is my drum pattern transcription in the style of "T La Rock & Jazzy Jay - It's Yours". This is a classic 808 pattern from the early days of hip hop. It's not as simple as you might first think though - the stereo Hi-Hats make it stand out from most other 808 beats.

So glad to hear that! Hey do I detect some shoegaze influences there? "Roc Hudson as Rex Stetson" instantly reminded me of the Cocteau Twins :)

Can’t wait to do something fun with this one! If you get a chance, here’s a link to my Bandcamp, got an 808 a a couple years ago and I’ve found that your transcriptions and tutorials have definitely helped me develop some skills with these new electronic instruments I’ve been using. Thank you so much for all the rad business you put out in the world https://welivestill.bandcamp.com/album/i-am-shit
