It doesn't actually move fluidly, rather it seems to exist as a series of blurry still images, focused around items of personal worth. They are always surrounded by silhouettes of creatures around them, as they reflect the memories of whatever is near. Normally they will sit around passively recreating the memories it has access to, but if they grow dangerous they will mess with your memories and create illusions to make you passive before they start ripping you to pieces with their many manifested bodies. Their real physical "tie" to reality are the items of worth they hold in their hands. If those are broken, the Memory Elemental loses its grounding in physical space and will soon implode and fade.
