Updated Omniwheels for both MKIII and v2
🕑 Added 2019-02-24 01:12:56 +0000 UTCI've updated the V2 now to add the new centre Omniwheels as an option. You'll find them in the main share, under STLS-R2D2V2erFeet-R2D2Ver2CentreFoot-Uprgraded Omniwheels 2.0 These fit the standard V2 frame and skins, so just the omniwheels and frame needs printing and bolting in place of the nylon ones.

I am printing this part of the R2. Can you recommend the correct motor to use? In the R2D2v2 it lists Razr scooter motors. Can you confirm? I'm about to order the motors and want to verify this is correct for the MKIII feet.
just made them.. I can see some gap between the chassis and the ommnis.. its ok ?? Doy you have some instructions or pics so I can see the position of the wheels ??

Hi, ABS should be good for all the prints, the tyres I did at 4 walls (1.6 mm) and 25% infil.
Michael, Many thanks for bringing this update down to those of us who are committed to completing Version 2. I was intending to print everything in this new setup in ABS. Should I consider Nylon for the axles, or do you think the ABS would work for everything? Also, any wall and fill recommendations for the new flex wheels? Again, thanks!!

No, the frame also needs reprinting as the Diameter of the wheels are different in addition, with three wheels it’s a narrower carriage. It’s only the lower part of gif frame which needs reprinting.
