If they are anything like the first ones, it's a fight - I used a little bit of Super Lube around the edge of the rim, but I'm not sure it helped much.

Hey Ben, theoretically the omniwheel frames (the centre part) can be used and the top frame assembly with the teeth on. You could fit the whole omniwheel assembly onto this and it would fit (there’s new frame pieces) if you didn’t upgrade to the bearings and flex tyres.

Is there anything from the previous feet that is reusable? I ask as I've only just finished printing them over the last few weeks.

Hi Ray, it is tight and I used Cheetah at about 30% infill so I’d imagine similar stretch. The method I used was first make sure the orientation is correct. The core and tyre has a 90 degree lip at one end and a 45 degree lip at the other. Put the core in at the tyre 45 degree end(this makes pushing in easier). The lip on the core is the 90 degree one goes first. I ‘stacked’ them this way. Then I used a clamp to push them together (a vice would also work). Just trying to get the core past that first lip. It may flick our in the middle, push it to keep it straight. Once your past the lip on the tyre, I just used the clamp to slowly force the core into the tyre, and it clips into place at the end. I’ve done 16 using this method, no tears (it’s tough stuff) and no failures it’s actually easier than it sounds, just wanted to describe the whole process in detail :-) you could also try warm water on the tyres but I didn’t need to do that. Hope that helps.

Hello Micheal, How did you get L2WheelTyreFlex(x8) on to the L2WheelCore(x8). I'm starting to think my TPE is not stretchy enough.... I was able to get LTyre-Flex over LWheel, granted it was tight, can't see that coming loose any time soon :-)

Glad I doing the feet last.But got the motors for the feet. weather over here is to cool in NYC USA right now and want to do the parts in ABS.( for drive). for to wait doing the all other parts in PLA.

Interesting. I was thinking about trying the resin SLA printer for the gears to see how they hold up.

Because of the heat from the motors, my ABS drive gear melted. I switched to Nylon (on the previous version) and haven't had any issues. I'll likely print these in Nylon as well.
