Second motor option for leg lift..
🕑 Added 2018-07-06 06:02:31 +0000 UTC So I’ve received my brushless motor driver (still waiting for the motor). This is for the leg lift mechanism. Hoping the brushes will work but this is a powerful backup just in case :-)

I am looking forward to your final 2-3-2 design. I have been putting off printing the static shoulder modules. But it has given me time to get my hand in at customising some of my build using your fusion files and fusion tutorial videos.

Yeah, the odrive is superb, I’m hoping to go down a lower cost route. Ideally brushed motor with a simply driver using a variable resistor for positioning (like a big servo).
I would be interested in using something like an ODrive to do precise brushless motor control. With an attached encoder you can use brushless motors as high speed high power stepper motors. That way you could use a single endstop and do acceleration control at either end of the travel.
