Well to be fair, Katara never thought about cheating on Aang the way Aang did to her and the relationship (sort of) between Katara and Azula didn't start until after the deed was done. Also, while the actions Katara took may anger some, she wanted Aang to work with her to build something new but all he did was dodge the conflict entirely.
