CMSN: The Stepford Wives Return

So far every commission I've taken has been 3k words long, but this one is 9k words, so it's definitely on the longer side of things. But it does contain 4 Stepfordizations, and it's a sequel to the Stepford Wives remake film from 2004. I had previously been commissioned, quite some time ago, to do a rewrite of that movie's ending so it would be more in line with the ending of the original 1970s film.
This commission follows from that rewritten ending, in which Joanna's plan is foiled and she is Stepfordized by Mike Wellington and replaces Claire Wellington as his wife. Instead of just using microchips in the brain, the men in Stepford also use injections of nanobots to alter their wives, explaining why they can do more mechanical things like act as ATMs or modify their bodies on command.

Yeah, the commissioner wanted me to use them as a naming scheme, like how I've previously had characters named after horror villains or the like
