I was thinking about various recurring characters of mine, due to the recurring character guide I've been working on, and I knew that I wanted to bring back Molly Johnson and Sam for another little adventure. Molly is probably one of the only girls in Stepford who is both submissive and entirely unbrainwashed, which I think really makes her stand out. She's just a girl who came to Stepford and found the love and acceptance she always craved, and accepted the town's way of life as part of the deal. But not everyone is as grateful to Stepford as Molly is...
I really hope you enjoy this story! I'm enjoying getting the chance to revisit all these characters and show how they're doing a few years down the line.

Thanks! I've really enjoyed getting to revisit them myself, and I have one or two more I plan to touch on in the near future! For Molly, yep! The original story was vague, but my intent was that Molly did have a genuine change of heart due to finding a loving community and supportive family. It's always possible to call that brainwashing, of course, but it could also be seen as a sort of radicalization, to use a slightly more loaded term. Glad you liked the story!

It’s so fun getting those check ins with older characters! “Runaway in Stepford” is one of my fav stories of yours so it’s nice to see Molly again. Given how much she changes over the course of that original story, I didn’t realize there was no brainwashing involved — but it makes sense that Stepford family life would be appealing to a homeless runaway on its own merits
