Fitting In: Chapter 6

There's only one chapter left after this one, which will be going up the week after next, with next week featuring our final caption recreation! I've got some thoughts about those pieces, but I'll save that for next week, when its more relevant!
As for this chapter, I really enjoyed getting to bring back some elements of stepfordization, now that Tanya has largely completed her own transformation. Since the transformations in this particular story are more benign, and chosen by those who undergo them, it was difficult to actually make those transformations the central focus. However, having it occur as a sort of sales pitch, aimed at someone who might be interested but would otherwise avoid it, worked out rather nicely as a workaround. I do promise, though, that the stories after Fitting In will feature much more pronounced stepfordization processes!

Phoebe Bridgers isn’t too far off! I was thinking of someone a little like Billie Eilish while I wrote the chapter, so I think we’re in the same ballpark!

Awesome! As if Tanya’s transformation weren’t great enough, I’m now really excited for Casey to get Stepfordized! If she really is a semi-popular e-girl, maybe she can use her platform to spread the Stepford lifestyle even more :)

I just finished reading the chapter and it's quite a nice change of pace for Stepfordization stories. With many focussing on the changes and the person going through the change, seeing how the family would respond to them without having a part to play is a wonderful touch. I can't wait to see how it ends. And I also have the feeling that Casey might enjoy exploring the lifestyle as well :)
