The New Edict: The Mole (Bonus Story)
🕑 Added 2020-08-26 17:05:04 +0000 UTCSo, I know that patronage has fallen below $150 per month, but I did promise to post these bonus stories as a thank you for getting it over $150. I'm posting these during off weeks, so next week will be another Fitting In update, and then the week after that will be another bonus story, so on and so forth.
This story in particular is based off of an old New Edict caption of mine, under the same name. The main character's name has been kept the same as in that story, but I took the opportunity to flesh things out much more, and show the actual events of the story, whereas the caption had been more of a reflection, after the fact.
I also took this as a chance to flesh out aspects of the New Edict setting. Showing more of how the resistance operates, some of the friction between rebel cells, and really just shining a spotlight on that part of the setting. I have another New Edict oneshot in the works, although it won't be posted until after Fitting In is finished (as its not a remake of a caption), which will expand more on the lolita side of things.

I really enjoyed the story. It's a creative premise and gives you the opportunity to focus on different characters in various scenarios. I'm interested to see more of life within the Edict, those that have either been brainwashed and are part of the edict, or have chosen to side with the edict out of loyalty and duty. It'll also be interesting to see more characters coming in from outside of Japan, especially those who don't fit into the normal gender bracket, as well as trans people.

Awesome! A two-part story sounds amazing and maybe better suited to the concept. Can't wait to see it whatever form it takes!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I did plan to rewrite my Stepford boxer caption! Right now I’m still debating making it one of the bonus stories, or if I want to post it later on as a 2 parter. It’s going to be posted either way though, since it’s a perfect story for this format!

This is lovely! Funny enough, I only just recently read your New Edict story on DA after seeing people request it when you asked here what captions they might like to see adapted, but I’m very into it and this is a great installment. Seeing rebel girls like Sarge broken like that is just perfect. I was so worried when I saw the total drop below $150 because I’ve really been looking forward to these caption-based bonus stories, so thank you so much for still going forward with them! Can’t wait for more. Did you mention one about a Stepfordized boxer or did you decide to go in a different direction?
