🕑 Added 2021-03-17 15:01:01 +0000 UTCSo fun fact; last week on Wednesday evening l had a brief moment of panic at the realization that I hadn't posted this chapter yet. After about 5 minutes I realized it was an off week, but ohhh boy that was something.
Anyways, that little anecdote aside, I hope you enjoy this chapter of Bet On Black! It introduces another fairly major character to the story, and one I rather enjoyed writing. I think they make a pretty noteworthy impact on Mya's time in Stepford, though I won't spoil how or why.

Yes! I always enjoy seeing a supporting character or two get transformed in addition to the main character. I love how this story combines elements from different stories of yours: While Mya is going through an organic transformation along the lines of Fitting In, she's surrounded by other characters going through classic good old fashioned Stepford brainwashing. Very fun juxtaposition! I wonder: Might Mya start wearing ruffly aprons more often now that she knows it's a turn-on for Gabriel? In any case the climax of this story highlights a fun thing about Stepford kink, how the outfits can enhance the sex! All the elements amplify each other

Haha, thanks! I definitely wanted Mal’s transformation to take place in the same chapter she was introduced, since most likely she’d otherwise be brainwashed during the next time skip, and we’d miss Mya’s reaction to it. Plus, considering how this story doesn’t involve Mya being Stepfordized (at least not yet), I wanted to throw readers a bone, something to keep them sated until later on.

WOW I love this story so much!! I really empathize with Gabriel bc the apron is the single hottest part of Stepford fashion to me, I feel represented lol. Their relationship is so hot; you’re doing some amazing romance writing here! I’m really digging the pacing of this story too; I’m so glad we didn’t have to wait another chapter to see Mal’s transformation. That’s exciting as a reader bc it makes me feel there are even better things in store. Can’t wait to see where Mya’s at after three more months! As for your fakeout, I don’t think any of us would mind if you hit publish in the occasional off-week hehe. But obviously there are benefits to a steady routine
