Stepford Ad Company (Part 2)
🕑 Added 2021-02-03 18:00:04 +0000 UTCContinuing with our return to stories set in Stepford this year, I decided to do another Stepford Ad Company story!
I honestly really enjoy these as a way to flex some short story muscles, and just get out a big batch of quickies, if that makes sense? It lets me add more depth to Stepford, while also doing a bunch of rapid fire stories that get the point across quickly. And, in cases like this, sometimes those quickies end up being quite meaty once you put them all together! This is certainly one of my longer stories, if we count them all together. It's also rather tongue in cheek, and pokes some fun at Stepfordization, while still indulging in it.

Thank you so much! That one is definitely my favorite as well, at least in some part due to it containing what is (imo) the single funniest line I’ve ever written into a story. Definitely agreed on that being fun! I love when brainwashing breaks down and has to be reinforced!

I really, really enjoyed this! I'm loving your return to Stepford proper. The anthology format is great, like you said it's kinda like we got almost a dozen stories for the price of one ! I think my favorite is the one with the Happy Homemaker Helmet. There's something really fun about a brainwashed housewife suddenly coming to, seeing herself in all her Stepford regalia, and freaking out — as long as she's eventually put back in her place of course ;)
