This one was inspired by a very simple idea relating to brainwashing that I really enjoy. That someone keeps almost slipping free, only to be pulled back in by just about anything. Always on the verge of uncovering the truth, regaining their memories of how their life used to be, only to be distracted and to lose their train of thought entirely.
I did choose to leave a lot of details a bit murky, however, so that readers can be just as curious as our protagonist, and make guesses as to how she wound up in her current situation. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! Yes, that's exactly what I was hoping to aim for here! This could be the day-to-day life of just about any character from my stories, after the page ends. Going through life, just on the verge of breaking free, only to be pulled back in over and over again.

Oooh, this is a fun one! So many of your stories end with a complete transformation and "happily ever after," so it's fun to think about whether cracks in the facade might appear down the road. But you've established in past stories that almost every single thing in Stepford helps with the brainwashing -- now we see how useful that is! Everything can bring you back if you start to dobut. Love the sisters' outfits here, and really enjoy the ambiguity -- personally I'm guessing that Tammy and Janet's parents had radical political beliefs and raised their daughter that way, but the older one fell for a conservative guy who swept her off to Stepford. Tammy either made the mistake of going with her beloved older sister or got basically kidnapped. Fun to think about!
