Month #2 Newsletter
🕑 Added 2016-12-28 18:45:02 +0000 UTC Happy Holidays to everyone! Sorry for the late upload of the newsletter! I had so much things to handle during the holiday season! I hope you all had a blast as well!This newsletter contains the current progress we have already developed in the game so far, usually it's about how much work left is done, or what new stuff was added to the game! I will explain each segment later below!
But first, I wanted to say THANK YOU! For everyone who have supported the campaign! Those who pledged and cooperated with me, as well as those who shared my Patreon page. It really means so much to me!
I am so happy to tell everyone that we have already reached all of our initial goals that was set ever since the start of this campaign! Camp Buddy is now fully-funded in just two months!
I have added a new goal for us to achieve which is the, "Costume party event"! As of the moment, if the pledges stay, we will surely reach that goal by the end of December!
Many of you ask if I was going to add more goals (Since we've already reached them all).
The answer is, even if I wanted to add, I am afraid that adding more workload may disrupt the estimated project completion date. Although, I am highly considering to add one last goal for everyone to achieve.
If you have any small ideas that you want to add in Camp Buddy, such as additional character routes, or additional storyline etc. I would love to hear your feedback!
Okay! Moving on to the newsletter!
Funds
We have successsfully accumulated a total of $16,770.68 in two months from 196 Patrons! This includes October, November and the early bird month I've mentioned before.
Progress
In the art aspect of the game, over half of the CGs are done and only needed to be extracted. I mainly focus on this aspect since this was one of the most time consuming workload in the project.
I have also went back to all previously completed art and improved the coloring quality! I have to give only the best for this project!
Most of the technical aspects of the game remained still since our team has mainly focused on the art of the game. I may require new voice actors for the new characters
(Aiden, Felix, and the character design winner) so a new recruitment will be held! So if you know any voice actors out there, ask them to try out!
Event Preview
Oh no! A storm hit the camp grounds causing a temporary power outage! This means that our campers may have to postpone some activities! Take off your clothes campers! It's going to get hot inside the cabins!
New Content
New characters have been unlocked!
Felix Clermont: The rich camper who can get anything he ask for with the help of his wealthy family. He can be demanding and frank, but he only does that for everyone's own good. Due to this misunderstanding, he is often avoided by the other campers.
Aiden Flynn: Aiden initially applied as a cook in Camp Buddy to earn some extra cash for his college expenses.
Since what he earns is not quite reaching his standards, he insisted to apply for other jobs in Camp Buddy making him an all-around helper!
Yuki: Yoichi's Pet dog. Yoichi loves his dog more than anything in the world. Yuki is only loyal to Yoichi alone, Yuki becomes aggressive to anyone who approaches him aside from Yoichi. More story about their relationship will be revealed in the game!
Character Contest Winner: We have already designed the new character contest winner! I will make a post dedicated for his release soon!
