Dealing with Change
🕑 Added 2023-06-20 23:16:53 +0000 UTCHey hey everyone. Sorry I've still been very absent. I promise I'm doing my best to get back into the swing of things since my move. And that's the subject of my post today.
Change bothers me a fair amount because I have anxiety and take a lot of comfort in the familiar. I have my routine and rarely deviate from that. But with such a large change like moving, all my routines and usual support systems have been thrown off or removed completely. For example my beloved dogs, Topi and Rollie, and my cats, Theadore and Sebastian, stayed on the farm with my family. They'll be happier there with room to run outside, and wouldn't be happy in my apartment. Me, on the other hand, I'm much happier in the city I live in now, close to everything, and snuggled into my new home.
Moving was best for me, but it's a big change. So, how am I dealing with it? I'm trying to keep as much of my old routine as possible while slowly adjusting to the new one. I'm watching a lot of my comfort shows and movies to make me feel more at home. I'm making sure to drink lots of water and get enough sleep. And, most of all, I'm trying my best not to push myself. I'm giving myself time to adjust to my new environment.
Moving pushed me far, far out of my comfort zone. I miss my old routine and support systems. But building new ones is exciting, and I'm happy to build a new life in my new home.
So, what does all of this have to do with my channel? Well, I'm not entirely sure. I'm trying to get back into making videos regularly, but I'm giving myself grace to take time with it. That's what my channel has always been; me enjoying myself making content I love. Without that love, my content just won't be as good. At least not up to my standards.
However, I am more reliant on the extra money my channel brings in now that I have my own place and more bills. So, I'm kind of forced to get back to it.
It's definitely been a conflict for me, but I think working on it a little at a time is my solution. Taking things nice and slow and trying not to pressure myself.

Moving away from what was familiar for a very long time is no easy task. New places, new people, new sensations, new routines. And it goes double for those who are not fond of changes. Describing how You cope with all this might be useful for those in similar situation and help them rest amidst surrounding chaos of novelties. Fits the channel pretty well IMHO.
