It's also the first kind of romantic script I've done. I tend to avoid romantic stuff because it makes me uncomfortable, but I feel like this wasn't too romantic, it was just a tiny sprinkle of it. Which was kind of nice for a change of pace.
I also hate the arranged marriage audios where the listener is all scared/vulnerable/submissive. It just makes me super uncomfortable. So I wrote it where both are equally powerful, and equally willing to be married for their kingdoms. There's no one-trying-to-seduce-the-other or enemies-to-lovers thing. It's just two adults in a consensual relationship. Why is that so rare in ASMR roleplay??

Look, I’m proud of who I am. My mother wasn’t of royal blood, true, but she conquered and pillaged until she ruled every island off anyone’s coast. I’m proud of her for that. And I will be proud when I inherit her kingdom. And I am proud to be married to you so our kingdoms could ally. A couple misplaced comments from an ambassador aren’t going to change that.

Oh of course! They’re a water-based kingdom. Fighting on the sea’s is my specialty. And what would I do without my strong right hand by my side?

You forget, I was raised around scumbags and sailors. I love the strict professionalism of this kingdom. I love the organized meals and order silverware, the tight dresses and uncomfortable shoes. The fake smiles and layered small talk are my safety, my peace.

You consider these things a cage, but if you were turly free, you would long for them back. Total freedom is a pill of destruction.

Then I will take you one day. Home to my world. We will go out on the wild oceans for a day, hunting ships like prey and taking them as trophies to my mother. We will dance in the taverns, drunk on the whisky and the music. We’ll run through the streets in the rain, barefoot, until we collapse and stare up at the clouds. You’ll live in freedom, you’ll be wild. Then you’ll return to this and realize just how beautiful it really is.

Hmm? Then maybe we’ll go back. Once my mother dies, we’ll rule both kingdoms, together. We’ll spend half our time in one kingdom, half in this. Two different worlds, both beautiful, both unique.

Ah well. We’ll let this one slide all things considered, but I’m leaving tomorrow for Gold Dawn. We’re working on allying with them to protect our northern borders. Although I have to say, the elves who live here can be impossible to work with. It’s an arrogance that comes with age. I really don’t think humans can even comprehend that level of superiority.
