Voting Story - Kitty's Cookies

When Jordan politely eats the botched cookies baked by his best friend’s little sister, the resulting food poisoning leaves him with powers he couldn’t begin to imagine, powers that allow Jordan to attract very beautiful girls, beautiful girls that just will not fit together.

Kitty's Cookies was a previous project that failed the vote. I made a few changes, first -- I carved a good two thirds of the girls out of my notes. There are now eight for a total of 10 characters. Second, the original idea was each brain tasted different and thus some girls paired really well with some girls and others just didn't. That was all supposed to be on Jordan's end. I replaced that with spin, where girls who spin in opposite directions are very hard to control together. Of course, that's gonna make Jordan want the counter girls together more.
I think of the plot as a superpower training arc and all of the bridges he burns getting ahold of his powers and his girls.

There'll be 5 total. I was planning on doing 3 new and 2 refurbishes. We will be voting on 2. And if the other 3 can't measure up to these 2, I'm OK. I like these two a lot. But one of the other two new ones has my favorite first line I've ever written. It still needs some spit shine, so it'll probably be the last posted of the month. Or second favorite first line ever, but I didn't have a story to go with: Jesus Marion Joseph didn't share his father's sense of humor.

Makes sense. How many more candidates do we get before the voting? I’m assuming we are voting in 2 to replace the finished stories. They’re gonna have to be some heavy hitters to overcome the 2 you’ve released so far.

I've just come out of a few softer protagonists, want to write someone a bit more aggressive next.

Both stories are strong candidates. They both have my preferred style of protagonist. One that is more gung-ho about his newfound abilities.
