October 2019 Recap
🕑 Added 2019-11-03 08:03:18 +0000 UTCBrrr, do you feel that in the air? That's right, as everybody knows, this cool weather is upon us is due to the mass influx of ghosts summoned every Halloween. They're mostly made of freon, so on particularly spooky nights they can really shift the temp. But now that they've all gone back to sleep for the next 12 months, we're left with the seasonal ramifications, and all you have to show for it is this recap.
What happened in October around these parts?
[ PUBLIC ]
We posted 8 new Modern Rogue videos at a total runtime of 2h 9m 36s! We weren't able to do the much-requested seance video, but we did have a fun deconstruction of the Bloody Mary myth. We reviewed some EDC kits, then made our own, made some prison food, brewed our own beer, and had a continuation of our series with lockpickinglawyer.
- MR221: Duplicating a Key Using Molten Metal (with LockPickingLawyer) (11:28)
- MR222: Making a Prison Burrito (11:02)
- MR223: Building a Rogue's Everyday Carry Kit (17:41)
- MR224: How to Create Your Own Beer At Home (25:00)
- MR225: Learning Staff Fighting Basics (19:33)
- MR226: Making a Prison Pizza (14:28)
- MR227: Why the Bloody Mary Illusion Works (16:13)
- MR228: 5 Ways Tech Crimes are Getting Creepier (14:11)
We published the first The Bizarre Briefing (our behind the scenes production/business podcast) out of the new podcast studio at HQ. They typically get broadcast live on twitch.tv/nightattack at the end of each month, although the next one will be this upcoming Tuesday.
- TBB: New Lands - September 2019 (1:51:43)

Got some usual fare with the First Pass Edits this past month, clocking in at 4h 4m 24s of behind the scenes video. My personal favorite probably being the Bloody Mary FPE because it shows a lot of setup compared to the others.
- MR221-FPE: Casting a Key Duplicate (53:08)
- MR223-FPE: Homemade EDC Kits (41:06)
- MR225-FPE: Kung Fu Staff Basics (1:03:38)

The Patreon bot on our Discord server is still broken, so after keeping general chat open for a good while, we're returning it back to patron-only writing permissions as of this Wednesday. We're just going to do it all manually, which is a pain, but I'm sure we'll endure. If you're on the server and want your role, send me (Brandt) a DM!
[ $10 PATRONS ]
We were able to livestream an episode recording session, including our zombie origins video and 3 article videos.

Shirt surveys for the Quarter 3 designs were sent out. We still have a couple people coming in last minute, so consider this the final warning before we start moving forward on production. If you haven't responded to the survey yet, please do so ASAP and we'll add you to the lineup.
[ HQ UPDATE ]
John moved his whole editing setup to HQ, and I'll probably follow suit after we get a little more equipment.
[ COMING UP ]
We recently shot some blacksmithing stuff, some HEMA stuff, and a peppering of one-off shoots, so all of that will get integrated into the schedule soon. This month we're expecting to finish off the last of our LPL videos, another Trever video, and more. We might also be recording with some new guests this month, and the guys might guest on some other channels. Keep your eyes peeled!
