Chapter 496 - Is there anything you want to say? - Easy agreement
🕑 Added 2024-09-03 17:36:21 +0000 UTC“As much as that was supposed to be a ‘punishment’, were you okay with everything that happened?” you asked, feeling like you should address what happened after Lucy had been a bit hesitant about going under the table when you had mentioned it potentially happening tomorrow.
It also felt slightly insincere to be asking a more serious question when you were still resting a hand on her ass but you couldn’t seem to pull yourself away from her now that you had been given the chance.
“Oh once I was under there everything was fine. I could try and put it out of my mind that Mary and Sarah were there and it felt like I could just focus on what was in front of me” Lucy replied, giving your crotch a quick pat at the mention of what was in front of her.
“So you wanna try that again tomorrow?” you suggested as a joke, giving the cheek you held in your hand a squeeze.
“I’ll think about it” Lucy said back, sounding more genuine than you had expected.
Her change of opinion was not what you had expected but after you looked over at her, you didn’t see the tell-tale signs that she was trying to tease you or anything like that.
Instead she just seemed to see it as a normal question and you weren’t about to try and sway her out of the decision if you could help it.
“Well, I’ll let you think it over” you said, giving her ass one last pat goodbye before you headed off towards the kitchen.
“Oh I’m pretty sure I know what answer you want me to give you but… cheers” Lucy replied, walking off as well.
You headed in separate directions and you were sure she was heading upstairs to get some new clothes to wear, finding it very entertaining to watch her leave. The clothes from both of you had been piled up on the side and while the both of you could actually now use them, it felt more natural to pick something new, leaving what you had taken off and letting it sit on the side for the moment.
Mary and Sarah were still inside the kitchen talking after you had finished your chat with Lucy, the topic sounding rather casual compared to what happened at dinner. You ended up starting to do the dishes before you fully started listening in and they seemed to be happy continuing to talk in your presence.
“Are you sure you need them tonight?” Mary said to Sarah, sounding resigned to whatever Sarah was asking for.
“It would really help me out. I have practice straight after my exams for the day so I won’t have time to pick any up. You can do it later and it doesn’t have to be now. Please?” Sarah pleaded, giving her reasoning.
You were still unsure what they were fully talking about without the context but Sarah was clearly invested in whatever she wanted Mary to get for her, using her best-begging voice to get her way.
Without even turning around you could tell she was also putting on a puppy dog expression that she used when she really wanted something and given that she rarely used it, you knew that Mary was likely already made her decision.
“Fine. I can go pick them up later” Mary relented, letting out a sigh as she agreed to go along with what Sarah wanted.
“Great! I think Lucy said she was going out later as well so maybe she might want a lift at the same time?” Sarah suggested, slightly too quickly as if this had been her goal all along.
You turned to watch and even Mary paused momentarily as if trying to see if Sarah was scheming but either she didn’t see what you had seen earlier or she was just willing to let her off.
“...I’ll go check in with her and see what she is doing…” Mary said cautiously, now purposefully keeping an eye on Sarah.
“Cool, I really appreciate it. I’ll help Max with the rest of these as well” Sarah added, turning back towards you and now acting like she was on her best behaviour.
Mary from now over Sarah’s shoulder gave you a look to show she knew something was going on but it felt like you were just as clueless as she was at the moment. You let Mary leave and while you had known that Sarah was up to something, it had eluded you all day.
Even if you explicitly asked you didn’t expect a clear answer and from what you had been able to pick up, it didn’t seem like it was anything bad. Emma might have also been able to tell you more after the two of them had talked in the morning but you were sure that she would have also reached out or said something if it had been an issue.
Instead, you moved slightly aside so that Sarah could stand at your side and she set about drying off the dishes that you had already cleaned, having to make you speed up while you had been focusing on the conversation more than the task at hand.
After you stood silently with no room between you for a few moments, slowly passing a few dishes, Sarah then spoke up, still drying off a plate as she started to speak.
“Do you know how long your shift at the gym will be?” She asked, innocently enough but you weren’t sure you could trust that anything she said didn’t have an ulterior motive.
“It depends on Grace to be honest. Whenever she has finished what she needs to do then I can get a lift back with her… I can shoot you a text when I’m on my way back?” you truthfully explained, knowing she wanted people out of the house for something at least so you felt giving her a warning on when you would return would be for the best.
“Sure, if you can anyway” she replied, putting another plate to the side without any inflection in her voice for you to try and gleam anything from.
That seemed to be the end of that topic but while both Sarah and your upcoming visit to the gym were on your mind, you knew that you would be meeting someone there that you hadn’t always had the best of times with, feeling the need to at least run it by Sarah before you left now that you had the chance.
“I know we’ve already talked about this but other than me and Grace, there's gonna be someone else on the shift with me tonight” you said, trying to ease into the topic.
For the first time in the whole conversation, Sarah briefly stopped her drying and paused in her hand movements, your words having some sort of effect on her before she carried on with her task, making you wonder if you should really continue talking about this at the moment.
