Chapter 452 - How much do you tell Lucy? - Almost everything
🕑 Added 2024-04-16 17:37:18 +0000 UTC“After Sarah, I wanted to know how she felt about me being with everyone else… you included. I know I said she was okay with it all but me and you have never really talked about that yet so I wasn’t completely sure if I should mention it to Mary. I asked about everyone else as well, Grace being one person I expected her to have some issues with but she was surprisingly okay with it all and said she trusted me.” you explained, bringing up Lucy before you started to ramble about the other subjects.
Lucy stayed silent as you went through the others but even you could tell you needed to be more direct in your wording and actually address the obvious between the two of you.
“...I do want to go further with you” you announced, stopping yourself from saying any more and going off on a tangent again.
The silence seemed to last an eternity but it was most likely only a few seconds before Lucy responded.
“...I think I do too but… I’m still not used to being this open about… well everything. Let’s just do what we have been doing and if it happens, it happens” Lucy replied, her own insecurities being on her mind.
“That sounds perfect” you replied, leaning over and giving her a kiss on her forehead.
She moved to look you in the eyes which let you give her a proper kiss, the kind that felt more intimate when you weren’t rushing to reach an orgasm.
Lucy moved back to your shoulder and now that the topic of her situation had been wrapped up pretty quickly, you did feel it was important to bring up something else.
“Are you okay keeping one more secret from everyone else? I’ll likely tell Emma about it but I still thought I should ask in case you don’t want to keep something else from Sarah” you asked, hoping to get some more advice.
“It feels like we are all hiding more things even if we are getting closer so what’s one more thing to add to the pile” Lucy joked, her little laugh to herself vibrating through you with her so close to you and filling you with a bit more confidence to continue.
“After talking about me having sex with everyone else, I brought up me and Mary” you announced.
“Oh” Lucy replied with a bit of curiosity, moving once again so she was at eye level with you and could actually see you face to face given the topic.
“She said no. She wanted to but… she said she couldn’t do it while she was married” you revealed.
You didn’t know what you expected from Lucy but it seemed she couldn’t hold herself back and a smile appeared on her face that then turned into stifled laughter, bringing a hand up to her mouth as if that would help stop her.
“Hey!” you commented, giving her a quick shove after the one she did earlier, making her lose her balance where she sat as she continued to laugh.
“Sorry, sorry it’s just… Of course she’d say that. I bet you loved that huh” Lucy shot back, getting back up and facing you again.
You let her calm down for a moment and after a few more outbursts where Lucy couldn’t help but chuckle to herself, you carried on with the more serious part of the discussion.
“It wasn’t the best news, no. Especially at the mention of ‘him’ but it also made me hesitate about the other thing with Izzy that I’ve got planned” you explained, seeing Lucy connect the dots in her head.
“Ahh that makes more sense. You’re worried about how it would look if you were to bring Izzy into the picture now” Lucy guessed, understanding your thoughts.
“Exactly. Before this it would have looked like I was trying to get Mary to leave him for all the right reasons but now… what if she thinks I’m just doing this to get her guard down so we can have sex? That’s not how I want her to think about me” you admitted, not wanting Mary to question your motives.
“Well that’s an easy one. She might not believe you in the moment but you’ve already told multiple people about your plan on this. She knows my feelings about ‘him’ so she might think I’m scheming with you too but you also had Grace and Emma on that trip with you. Even if she doesn’t believe you about the trip, there’s no way that she can deny the story from three other people” Lucy explained, letting you rely on her and the others.
Your mind had been pretty occupied since your conversation with Mary so the fact that you had other people who could corroborate the timeline of things didn’t even pop into your head, leaving you trying to figure out how you could solve this on your own.
That also left you feeling like maybe the conversation at dinner about you shouldering all the responsibility yourself was something you needed to act on as well. That though, felt like something you could put off and for now, you had the good news of finding a solution to the Izzy issue.
“So you’re happy to back me up?” you asked, wanting to confirm with Lucy.
“Of course, why wouldn’t I? I wanna get Mary to believe you more than anyone at this point” Lucy replied, looking slightly puzzled as to why you would even ask.
“I was checking just in case. Everything with Izzy has been up in the air and it feels like I haven’t had the time to think it all over properly yet” you explained, letting out a sigh as you admitted that.
“What was she like by the way? And how did the first time you met her go?” Lucy asked, curious about your trip.
You had already told Lucy some of the details about Izzy earlier but in an attempt to clear your head, you pretty much told her everything that you could think of. You went through the first awkward meeting where you and Emma turned up at her doorstep and went through all the conversations you could remember, even describing the house and your meeting with Jack whenever Lucy asked questions.
As you continued, you and Lucy had now stopped sitting up and were laying down face to face, keeping your voices low in the off chance that Sarah stirred and woke up.
It felt good to go through the weekend and get your thoughts out on the matter but as if you were telling Lucy a bedtime story, you could see she was getting tired and you were starting to feel the same.
You didn’t know when but you stopped trying to keep your eyes open at some point and with you still facing Lucy, the last thing your eyes saw before you fully closed them was the image of Lucy sleeping peacefully with a contented smile on her face.
