Book 2.5 Chapter 2 - The Consorts
🕑 Added 2024-09-03 14:11:28 +0000 UTCThis is tangentially related to a plot point in Book 3, I started out jotting some notes about it but ended up writing more scenes about the previous Emperor's consorts.

Insomnia
Wenyuan seems to be seen as the secong coming of his grandfather: dangerous, ruthless and hard to read. People who rise to great heights without obvious achievements are usually seen as incompetent beneficiaries of nepotism or underhanded and scheming and Wenyuan hasn't really accomplished anything, especially not in the eyes of the nobility.

Setting up a charity institution. Yet, another unprecedented policy as a brain child of Kayla/Wenyuan. Reading all of this side povs make me really wonder what kind of person exactly people think Kayla/Wenyuan is. Anyways, would we get another one of these interludes? How many are there in total? Really loving it btw.
