Known Issues (Action Required), Removing Patreon restriction, Stream announcement

Known issues
Please comment below with votes for urgency, which will help me prioritize:
- Character import is currently not working: I have created a new endpoint to retrieve the character data from, but it's not yet in the source code. I will work with Jack on this fix soonish. I will probably need to move the file download proxy to the new infrastructure, too, so it will take a couple of moments longer.
- Patreon connection not functional: see below
Removing Patreon restriction
Currently, the check if someone has a valid pledge or not defaults to "yes, this is a Patreon". This check is run when you login into the extension using your Google account, so log out there, then log back in and it should unlock Patreon mode. Please report in this thread if this is indeed working.
Opening the tools for the public is a test-drive, too. I would rather focus on development of the tools than on developing authentication schemes and restrictions, and that all depends on your willingness to support this development in the long run.
This might be an awkward moment to do so since I am not very communicative in the last weeks, but it's still the right path in the long run. Let's strip that band-aid even if it will hurt momentarily ;)
For infrastructure, I am currently moving many things from a single server to a distributed infrastructure, which does cause quite significant raised costs. I do think it's worth it. It will create more possibilities like
- image downloads from within FVTT
- general image processing (more on that later)
- vastly improved mask handling in the (shush! Hold that back for the stream!) ... oooh, okay!

I will be joining the Discord for a dev stream on Saturday night (my time). You can use this time slot to yell at me, ask me questions and more importantly: Have a look at something I am working on to provide feedback on it. I do not want to spoil the surprise, but it's gonna be graphical. I don't want to commit to a certain time since that is still problematic for me, but I will try to be there for the whole night (again: my time), so we will find some time together.

It looks like Character Import is still not working - I'm trying to import https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/GameMakerAC/characters/43033343 and get: Uncaught (in promise) Error: TypeError: Cannot read property 'componentId' of undefined at CharacterImport.parseCharacterData (import.js:849) at HTMLButtonElement. (import.js:768) parseCharacterData @ import.js:849 (anonymous) @ import.js:768 async function (async) (anonymous) @ import.js:763 dispatch @ jquery.min.js:2 v.handle @ jquery.min.js:2 Importing characters is something I do quite a bit, so would like to know if there's any estimate as to when this might be fixed. Selfishly, for me, Character Import would get top priority. I'm in the process of switching my crew from Roll20 to Foundry, and I've encouraged them to load their characters into DnD Beyond so we can import them easily. But, we can always do it manually if we need to. Thanks for all the work on this, Sebastian!
I've been trying to import characters for a while but keep getting the same error of "required field dimSight not present in prototype token" is this part of the bug or am I missing something?
Here's one vote for the urgency to fix the character importation issue. Whenever you can please. Thanks!
Sebastian, I'm sorry to hear you were sick, and am glad that you are recovering. No need to yell at anyone - we're all human. The VTTA community has been working hard to keep things going, so I think they deserve a lot of credit. One thing I would suggest is to see if you can work with others to carry on and spread out your work - you're only one person, and a new father, so please take care of yourself and your family.

I have been importing characters without any issues. Only problems I get are occassional problems with some gear and features that are obscure (like Artificers which are newish). I currently have no problems logging in either, now that I have said that I am doomed. Stay healthy!
I can't login at all to the extension. I hit login and it reloads the page but nothing happens
Per the discord and my own experience, new patreon members cannot login via the google login link either via the website or the chrome extension.

Character importing working is most urgent for me.
I still get the 500 error when attempting to view my profile on the vtta.io site.
I can now log in and link my account to Patreon in vtta.io. The chrome extension still does not allow login.

Hi, regarding the Patreon mode, the issue starts with trying to log in to our Google account in the extension. Fails with error 500 trying to access https://www.vttassets.com/api/user/profile.
