Excellent that you backed up computer simulation of pulley spoke with real mechanical load testing. I have to say though that i was struck by the Chiron becaus of its large build volume. Please let us know what you think of it as you get some use out of it.

Yes I will be waterproofing the speed controller and putting a cover around the motor, which will also protect my leg from it. Thank!

At least it keeps the CoG low which is a very good thing. You could almost have put the transmission between the motor and the pedal to take advantage of the chain transmission

Yes I'm still going to do the double step down ratio using an additional shorter belt. So will be 20T-40T, then 20T-180T

Yes it will require a guard for sure. However, I've done a few cycling tests with a 'dummy' motor mount and it's surprisingly not an issue. Because the motor/mount is narrower than the pedal crank, it's only an issue when my foot is at the lowest position and I tuck my knee in.

Legs are naturally wider as pedals are wide, however in certain positions, it's a bit close. I will make a guard to prevent any painful encounters!

Tom, who am I to say but, I think that motor mount position looks as though it will make pedaling difficult if not risky to the left leg. If you leave it there you will need to fully guard the rotating pinion and belt. Wouldn't it be better to mount the motor off the top of the rear forks, you don't even have any brake calipers in the way.
