Friends! It's been a while. And then a while. We are very sorry, but we are also: back! With us we bring one of our favorite shared artifacts, Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films.
It's a big-mouthed, clear-eyed take on a story that probably only could have happened in Los Angeles in the 1980s, and it's a hell of a lot of fun. If you ever loved a movie as a kid that you saw again as an adult and realized "Wow, that looks ... cheap.", this documentary may be for you.

Oh, and yes yes yes to an episode on The Apple. I spent much of my '80s and '90s telling people that this thing that had never heard of was in fact THEE worst movie of all time. I sold them on it with just two words: "disco totalitarianism."
