Friends-Only Episode 6, COOL CAT SAVES THE KIDS
🕑 Added 2016-11-07 01:17:36 +0000 UTC From the deepest heart of the Uncanny Valley comes Cool Cat Saves the Kids, a movie with the best of intentions and botch-est of execution. No matter what you've seen in your life, you really have not seen anything like this. Come for the terrible music video -- but STAY for the SECOND terrible music video and the total inability of Clsn's tiny squirrel brain to handle the way this movie thinks lines should be delivered. The scintillating tale of one man's fixation on rounding up the neighborhood kids and Putting On A Show with a large number of differently sized people screaming inside a six and a half foot tall cat suit, Cool Cat Saves the Kids somehow injects deep weirdness into even the most vanilla messages:
- Look both ways before crossing the street
- Bullying is bad: fight back against it
- Don't pick up guns you find in your dad's back yard
The movie also brings up the difficult issue of cyberbullying and ... completely punts it. No helpful advice at all from Cool Cat. Guess you're on your own, "kids", no saviour here to bail you out. Anyway, set aside a little time and enter the wild world of Cool Cat -- it's quite a TAIL. (Yes, I went there. Yes, it's the second time I've gone there in like three episodes. No, I feel no shame -- I'm an artist, I'm an American artist and I FEEL NO GUILT.)
