Only 2 things worry me offensively: 1. We need to set better screens for Steph, especially our younger guys 2. Worried about our starting 5 again. We still don’t know who will start outside of Steph, Draymond and Wiggins/JK

In this 3 ball era, no premier defense is reliable, as long as we rebound well and makes more 3s than opponents, we have higher chance to win. Our 3 pt shooting will be elite this year, next important thing is rebounding. As long as everyone gets on the board, we can beat anyone

I saw the potential with our new look -- our defense is still a big question, as is our size. We need Wiggs back (I mean, really BACK), Podz in the 2nd unit, and maybe picking up a true big physical body later on in the season for emergencies (if Post can't be that) and I think we're right there.

I was at that game last night and boy let me tell you they were booing the shit out Buddy Hield at almost the same levels they'd boo Draymond at the end of it all the Queens Chambers known as Golden 1 Center had all its energy depleted and was a shell of itself by the end of the game.

Things that had me hopeful: TJD’s defense, in the 2nd quarter especially, Pod’s overall facilitation but especially in the 3rd quarter. To me he was the star of the game. The way that Podz and GP2 and Spencer move the ball, an underrated attribute. Too many of these guys sit on the ball like a goose trying to hatch an egg. Things that make me return to earth: Defense Lack of size turnovers Your comment to me for Clippers game: Buddy will have his nights where he hits 6-7 3s and that should keep his vibes up Buddy’s results last night…….6-7. The Alchemy crystal ball is working fine.

nah no doubt there are going to be nights where it will be Fitz " If they could just buy a basket" but that's part of the deal. They are banking on having more hot nights than cold, hopefully with JK and Trayce keeping teams honest at the rim

Point Podz looking good. Hes winging it out there offensively but cant deny dude facilitates his ass off. Off rip, from roster construction to the small on court samples we’ve seen, it’s looking to be a lot more of a positive season than it was last year. Melton got great energy. Buddy hitting ✅for now, I wanna see him sustain tho. If JK can max out these catch and shoot 3s then we’re in good shape. Movement jumpers from JK and 8-10 3s from BP might be giving the wrong shots to the wrong guys tho.

Regarding the "viral" clip of Murray "clamping" Steph. Have you ever seen THIS MUCH little bro energy from a team before??? The definition of "try-hard" lol. Like okay credit to Murray for moving his feet. But the Sac crowd and the whole team treated that like Murray did that in game 7 of a playoff game.

People are really overreacting to this performance and thinking its suddenly solved all our problems. Really???? Ya'll expecting us to shoot and MAKE 25+ threes a game? This was a sick performance, dont get me wrong. But this was an outlier of a night and will NOT be the norm. The kings weren't defending the 3 very well. What does our offense look like when everyone's cold? I didnt see a lot of good looks from 2 and we werent breaking the paint enough for my liking. A couple other things: 1) Im still severely annoyed at TJD's inability and refusal to use 1 hand to dunk/attack the rim unless its a lob. He's gonna keep getting stuffed or stripped doing that or WORSE, gonna get himself injured. 2) Melton is probably the best free agent signing we've had in the last 5 years. I hope he stays healthy and in rhythm cuz I think he will be a key piece to this teams success. 3) Seeing Kuminga take no hesitation threes was nice, but I need to see more from him driving and distributing. He seemed pretty one dimensional last night. 4) Podz is a decent flopper hahaha. Guess that 1 year with CP3 taught him well xD

I like the simplicity of the new guys so far. Klay was just making it too complicated, with buddy melton everything look simple. Klay is a legend but i hope its addition by subtracting with klay. Still would like to make a move cuz we know kerr aint gon play all these guys as much as they deserve lol

The shooting was exciting - but was it fool's gold? Did you catch the Mike Brown interview at the top of the 4th quarter? "We're not guarding the 3 ball at all - we've got to fix that" And then they didn't drop nearly as often in the 4th. What do you think Alch? I guess we find out when we play Boston

It's constantly crowded in there. I'm interested to see how paint work develops in the early part of the season. What we know is that you can't be one dimensional if you want to succeed at the highest level. Even if your 1 dimension is good. Even if we become a great shooting team collectively, if we can't generate quality paint shots and free throws our playoff ceiling will be low.

Last year we were 7th in 3-point % at 38% and 2nd in 3-pointers made (behind Boston's prolific 3 point shooting). I think this team has a chance to top the league in 3-pointers made this year. If our defensive rating improves as well, this team is going to be much better. Once opponents begin selling out on having to defend the 3, it's going to create more open looks at the rim.

tbf I think that was the gameplan, there were plenty of spots where they purposely opted for 3s over drives. I agree that it's prone to a ton of shot variance though

The shooting was great and fun. But what stood out to me was that it seemed like they HAD to shoot that much because of how congested the paint and floor was in general. To my eye after the 1st 2 games, it looks like we are going to struggle to score in the paint. Having Wiggs in there will help. But I think this is going to be a real problem this year.
