I Ben
wym, bro a rookie lol jeez
Kj Robinson
Klay made mad assists he had games where playmaked a lot. He’s for sure a scoring guard that didn’t assist often but he did put work in that aspect of them game.
Dale Happy Knowles
On paper but my point is so has the Worriers. Compared to last year which teams have had a greater upgrade thanks GSWs. Kings played have of the game with their elite core inplace and did not pull away from a ½ effort Steph GSW with no Klay or Wiggs and 12 fighting for a spot rotational players. You talk alot about the tangible part of the game but these guys are balling in the tangible, the fight, grit, effort CHEMISTRY which did not exist last year. Steph, Moody JK Dray and TJD will take it to WCF. GSW bench is alone of that starting tram with more defence.
SAOpp
Alch. I think a good comp for Moody is RJ Barrett. 20 points a night on a bad to avg team. The question is if he can play enough D to be a winning player.
Athletic Alchemy
A big part of it is JK seems to really have infinite belief in his game, should allow him to push thru slumps and keep building on the shot making.... given the opportunity
Athletic Alchemy
I hear you.. you have to admit tho JK seems to have true belief in his game.
Athletic Alchemy
you could see OG contemplating standing up
Athletic Alchemy
built up co worker beef lol
Athletic Alchemy
I always try to call it how I see it! They do seem "willing" and that is important, my concern is that if they are both scoring a lot more they will focus even less on that end
Athletic Alchemy
He isn't boxing out consistently but he is going to the glass and going after 50/50 balls much more
Athletic Alchemy
JK has pretty good vision and is willing to make the extra pass, but Mood is a black hole for sure
Athletic Alchemy
favorite to come out the west, no but contender I think so.. Again "leap" not step
Athletic Alchemy
Im very optimistic about the team right now, but this is a long season and things change quickly. Most people feel the west has gotten stronger
Athletic Alchemy
Draymond seems to be doubling down on who he has been.. idk man! I do feel like he is on his last chance with this organization
Athletic Alchemy
lol built up beef with a co worker
Athletic Alchemy
TJD and JK need to be better there
Athletic Alchemy
oh its going to be over 10 for sure, got limit live ball TOs
Athletic Alchemy
GPs contract is for sure going to be a part of any deal
Athletic Alchemy
yessir!
Natto Santo
I give up long time ago on TOs, this team can never stop turning over the ball
Rahim
apreciate you for the free breakdown man.
Erin Laskey
I view it differently. Their game would be easier if they got others going especially Steph, because it would open up things for them. They have to start looking to set screens for the likes of Buddy, Steph early on in the game
sleeve nash
We had a zero assist scoring guard for 13 years in Klay lol. Moody should b fine. Only difference is between them both is Klay didn’t get blue balled his first 4 season in the league 😂. 23 pts, 7/13 from field, 7/8 from line. I’ll take it. Should he be getting 25mins a night?Prob not. But a smooth 15-20 night in night out, I don’t see how it’s not doable for Kerr and staff. If not then let’s move on with him
sleeve nash
I think Moses is most definitely level headed and team oriented. On top of that he is wise beyond his years. Born in 02’ but supplies us fans with quotes I’d hear from my pops. Not to mention him being Chris Paul’s favorite team mate in his career. With that being said I’m most definitely biased towards Moody and his success. Super huge fan of him. A bucket first guard who’s going into his 4th season with the same uncertainty surrounding his role and minutes from years prior. I think most guys would have a tendency to have some tunnel vision or have ‘thirsty scoring’ moments as he has had.
sleeve nash
Yea the discourse gonna keep going in circles imo. It comes down to which one of these ‘12 rotational players’ gets the most usage /minutes.
Royce John
How many games we giving post to figure shit out?
Dimitrios Cacomanolis
Yes agreed
Kit H
Hey Alch, can you please post the streamable links in the description of the post? With it being in the comments, it just gets buried and is harder to find
theycallmemiyagi
I have high hopes for Loondawg but if Post isn't NBA ready yet and Looneys hip gave on him during preseason already, we for sure need another big.
Joemilll -
If warriors can pull off a gp2/picks for center Jonas V. At the trade deadline, this team can compete with anyone
Erin Laskey
Depth looks good but we can’t get away with the kind of turnovers we did 3 or even 4yrs ago. Teams in the league have become super efficient. Anything above 10 TOs could easily convert to 25+ points on the other end. Just watching Celtics drop 40 on 76ers in 1Q with ZERO turnovers. Zero!!!
Natto Santo
Offensive rebounding is important to us now. We will shoot many 3s and it usually has long rebound if misses. TOs and defense are hard to fix for us anyway.
AK
Yoooo that exchange at the start.. wtf was that? Cringeworthy stuff
e40
DAMN! That was an annihilation.
Chip Tingle
The level of detail, Alch, is much appreciated, especially on correctable stuff like Moody's movement habits, JK's lack of D stance and boxing out, zero assist mentality for Moody despite his rise as a shooter/driver....I'll throw in a question about tiredness for the oldest vets, Dray and Steph, just not a good look on either end and with body language. Dray's already chirping too much for my taste coming out of last year's costs to the team, and it's tough to see him avoiding another suspension based on these three Preseason games and unnecessary media vibing. Gratitude onya, Alch!
Dale Happy Knowles
Oh and what ppl often miss is its the intangibles that impacts success the most. This team is brand new and could only go up from what is being displayed with Steph at half his mins.
Dale Happy Knowles
GSW will play Dallas in the WCF. The starting line up will be 1. Steph, 2. Moody, 3. JK, 4. Dray & 5. TJD. Alchy I think you see things wisely but sometimes you don't take into consideration relativity. Three things. 1. Too many games last year were lost by 5 pts or less that could have changed seeding. 2. Klay situation was not normal last year because if we honest Mgmt did him wrong because they did not want to pay him They forced him to be a different player taking away from his strengths (intangibles) yet if we analyze Klay performance when Steph or Dray were out we would see he was not underachieving as talking heads promote. 3. 12 deep with equitable equal mins in preseason assessment is premature when we talk about what a player can't or has not demonstrated. I like the chaotic environment Kerr created right now because when the season starts that full team rotation will reduce to 9-10 max until the Trade deadline and if the players can demonstrate they can perform in chaos, regular season should be second nature. JK will be an all-star and Moody most improved. They dont have to be perfect to be best. Kerr needs to keep Pod and Milton as second out behind Buddy.
Sarcasm 360
Kerr just needs to empower Moody and Kuminga, what’s new? Fixing that false step takes reps, he improved on it before but it’s spotty more reps and he’ll be fine, but what does that mean? Of course, Kerr needs to empower him, what’s new…
Thomas Ogas
Alch. Stop. This team isn't going to be a contender if JK or Waters take a leap. It's great that these younger guys are getting better, but they cannot possibly carry the old core of this team that Kerr is going to be giving heavy minutes to. Defense is learned from in game experience. Very good point about off-season training. In the off-season, the young guys can improve their offensive game, but the only way they get better defensively is if they get playing time, so they need playing time, and our coach won't give it to them because they haven't had enough experience yet to learn how to be good defenders.
Nick Elliston
Aside from the defense, another area of concern for JK & Moody is their tunnel vision. Understandable considering their age and hunger to score, but on nights where their shots aren't falling they need to find the open man and keep the offense moving.
Sarcasm 360
Kerr won’t empower the young guys
Ejikeme Uzoigwe
By the way, I thought one of JK’s most impressive sequences was his tough defensive and offensive rebounds back to back. Those were both genuine big boy rebounds.
Ejikeme Uzoigwe
This the only channel that describes Moody by who he is ON the court, not off. Sooo many people describe him as a level headed, team oriented, make-the-right-pass kind of guy. That’s just not what I see. I like Moses, but he’s a bucket getter, pure and simple. I’m not mad at him for it at all, but I’ve found the dialogue around him to be just bizarre at times. That said, he & JK both seem to be *willing* defenders. My only hope is that - if they can both be good enough offensively to secure roles - then maybe the they’ll get enough attention to truly fix some of these fixable problems.
Ben Whitaker
What the hell was that intro NBA Tv clip! Hahahahah
Offtopic K
I thought they were gonna be moving some furniture after that opening clip
Ezequiel Franzgrote
I am not impressed with the Defence right now at all, but I see the potential. They added a lot of new players but they still didn’t play mich together, so I think with time and when familiarity grows they will play much better defensively as a group. But I don’t expect them to be great right if the bet… and it all starts with draymond getting into game speed, which he isn’t right now
Brian
I refuse to get excited by anything that anyone adds to their game in the summer though. One week into the season they almost always return to what they have always done because it is comfortable.
Ezequiel Franzgrote
Kuminga might be one of the few people to come out of the summer break with a n actually much improved and better shot… if he keeps shooting like he is shooting, he legit turned himself into a real shot creator… those turnaround midrange and 3’s of the dribble look to good to be true! You always see players working on their shots in the off season, but to actually shoot them in game and improve in game is a different story
Brian
'this jumbo stud-built mf'. Haha, love the funny moments you sprinkle into your vids. Caught me off guard with that one.
Ejikeme Uzoigwe
Alch: I don’t need to show the golden dagger shot unedited. Also Alch: I need to show this three minute convo unedited. This is the type of high quality decision making that comes from truly knowing your audience 🫡
Neal X
Still early days but it looks like transition D, rebounding, and turnovers will be the major weaknesses this team has to overcome.
Swole Mole
Year 4 might be the real breakout for JK and moody. Last year it did look like they were both becoming better defenders over the course of the season. JK with angles at times and moody with his anticipation and distance management. It’s like their defense reset to factory settings but maybe its just preseason and they’re testing their offseason training and challenging themselves. Nah that’s too much credit🤷🏾♂️
BruceWayne
That 3rd 3 in the recap was cool to watch. The guy was laying off and JK just took a quick, smooth shot over him.
Jansen E
That Sam Mitchell thing was diabolical. But in fairness to him that young guy called him out for no reason. Attacking a man’s salary on national TV??? You opened the can, now it’s getting served back to you. Hilarious interaction though. Thanks for including that. The amount of offensive rebounds we’ve allowed in each preseason game is concerning. I don’t think it’s a size issue cuz it’s not like Sac is that much bigger than us. I hope they sort that shit out. I too was amazed by Kuminga’s shooting off the dribble. The little snake dribble cross on that midrange looked like a completely different player. But similarly, I’m also disappointed in the defense from both Moody and Kuminga. Seeing their offensive growth is nice and all, but if we can’t get rebounds and they are bad defenders, what good is their offense? I hope they both prioritize getting better at that end of the floor and let their defense fuel their offense.
Ballin Forever
1. Kuminga's energy transfer on his dribble pullups is looking scary good. Like you said.. we did not see that coming this early 2. I had false steps just like Moody when I used to hoop. And my coach use to always point it out. I hope its not too engraved into his muscle memory because I use to have to always think about not taking the false step... it never came natural to me. Im 26 now and I still got the same issue.
BruceWayne
Post was actually OK in my opinion. He didn’t look completely lost like he did the first time they faced the Kings. Probably just needs reps at NBA speed to what’s there. Spent most of the game either turning it over or giving up second chances. That TJD put back was the team’s 2nd offensive rebound.
mr.bean
The type of shot kuminga is taking form 3 is kind of crazy no lie.real movement and off the dribble shooting
mr.bean
Alch no way this shooting from kuminga is real right. The type of offensive leap.he could take would be insane.Defender no longer be able to gap.Would open up the floor crazy
Old Runner
One thing I have noticed is Kuminga is still too passive (offensively speaking) when Steph and Dray are on the court and I understand why but I need him to assert himself, if he wants to get paid he needs to let go of his fear of making mistakes and just play ball.
Nathan Glanzer
Is that camera angle from a drone? Probably why it's glitchy, gotta be a wireless connection.
Andrew Lee
That Sam Mitchell debacle gotta be the craziest thing I've seen lately 💀
Diego
Kuminga’s three looks so real
Coreyy
And thus that was the day that host learned you don’t mess with a bald head OG
Kahlil Baker
The whole time i was watching the game, it reminded me of oracle. Sounds nice when they make tickets affordable and the OG fans can actually go to the games!
Matt Andrews
OG was on business 🤣
