I second this. Father Time neva lost

Paul Hanson

Steph still plays the right way and his gravity is still serious. He's not killing the vibe like Joel Embiid has at times. This Olympics isn't a referendum on 'Steph's legacy'-but a really short elimination series with everything on the line. Just play team, unselfish basketball and possibly set a few better screens for Steph when the situation arises.

John Pettus

EXACTLY the lineup I’d pick.

Alasdair Macdonald

Steph looking real old these days. Please let's not hear anymore about him being in his prime or going all in for a playoff run. As crazy as it may sound I don't think he should even be the number 1 option on a team these days. You'll get the most of his remaining years by reducing his role and just using his gravity. As for this Olympic tourney this team USA is looking much better than I thought they would will be curious to see what Canada and France look like against them.

Nah.. Disney gonna give it the full treatment - Don Cheadle as Royal Ivey, Denzel playing Luol, Michael B. Jordan as a refugee bball player with a chip on his shoulder…

ok, I see what you mean. YES, the women got pushed! Apparently they have been having hard time with Belgium. Their recent match ups the last couple years have been close. And the crowd was heavily in Belgium's favor. It was like an away game for usa. Had me nervous. 2 of Belgium's best players, messeman used to play for the mystics and was a huge part of the 2019 championship they won, and van loo plays for the mystics now. I think its their size that gives usa problems but you know hoops more than me, so yea id love to see your take. In the end usa just had more talent to pull it out, but it was a great game.

Athletic Alchemy

its really incredible how scarce setting good screens has become in the NBA

Athletic Alchemy

I cant stand Stephs body language when he is struggling. If he was some young guy, say at Ants phase in his career id be concerned about it... but we know this how he deals with it and obviously the proof is in the pudding

Athletic Alchemy

I heard he and Joel taking about Stephs gravity, Im sure they do.. but they are not programed to really use in real games. Its kinda like one of those action speak louder than words things, but again I think its just old habits. The Women got pushed!? im have to take a look

Athletic Alchemy

LOL.. nah but I imagine they are going to be heard form moving forward as they get better resources

Athletic Alchemy

Gil and PP are elite clowns.. The jokes can be hit or miss depending on the ear of the audience, but the key is to be alright with that. Always Appreciate hearing form you SF

Athletic Alchemy

its true, but they are also the only 2 that have really proven to be worth building everything around. Id go Steph, Jrue, KD, Bron and Bam when its winning time

Athletic Alchemy

Its a great story, you just know ESPN or Netflix is doing a movie. Hopefully its a Doc tho

Athletic Alchemy

Yeah I dont think he has "lost a step" but this environment hasn't been becoming for him

Athletic Alchemy

he tries to act gosh golly about rotations.. thats why JK had to step to him lol

Neal X

I was of the opinion Steph should have not played much this game, if at all. I expected a bad game from him against such lanky athletic young defenders without Draymond's screens.

John Z

Great breakdown as always. Love the way KD jaws back and forth while backing it up. Why Steph always has his head down, on offense and defense he puts his head down for no reason.

Hey Alc, Thanks for your take of steph's struggles. I was getting a little scared. I'll hold my fear for now. Lol! AD, does appreciate the steph gravity, at least in scrimmage he did. He said he enjoyed playing with steph because he got a lot of open looks. Also, I can't remember if your did the first time the played Sudan but that jones guy was given it to everyone. And finally, I don't know of you watched the usa women today vs Belgium but that was the most exciting game I've seen in Olympic play, maybe ever or at least since they stopped using pro's. Check it out. I would love to hear your take.

Kenny Bobby

Did you hear the broadcast talk about south sudan not having an inside gym, in the country? Wtf! This was like cool runnings. Coach john candy woulda won that game.

My sister subscribes to Peacock, so I was able to watch the game live. It was something else. I can imagine several of those South Sudanese guys will be gettings calls from NBA scouts in the near future. Steph was frustrated and didn't make a lot of shots, but he had some stellar passes and assists. Bam is amazing to watch and so is K.D. Kudos to Luol Deng for sponsoring the entire South Sudan team: the players, coaches, doctors and therapists. Including their travel, uniforms, hotel rooms and stipend. I was dissapointed with the snide remarks Gilbert Arenas and Paul Pierce made about the South Sudan team. Then again, I shouldn't have expected better from those two. Looking forward to the upcoming games. p.s. Alc, you might consider a career in stand-up comedy. Some of the things you say off the cuff are pure comedic genius.

Another clutch upload, Alc. I say this with the utmost respect, but steph and bron are the two neediest players in the sport. probably why they're so successful. they really can't do much unless the thing is built around them: modern NBA examples of vertical integration. it's also why a player like KD is the favorites for the young kids. In a room full of superstars, he don't need any kind of system to shine, or to make the right play. Also why Tatum and Embiid both get so much hate. Both amazing on league teams built around them but on a team full of other good players: can't play effective basketball. I love how Kerr might have baited the american people into believing that we need a more traditional center-driven lineup and he's just gonna revert to playing a bunch of Swiss army knife guards now, even with the most stacked team ever assembled. There were a few moments there where he was subbing steph in and out of the second lineup on some warriors shit.

Ryan Mitchell

Loved this - thank you 🙏🏻!! I’m actually a fan of this South Sudan team.

Matt Hanna

Outside some obvious bad defense, i like stephs movement and positioning on defense at his age - that South Sudan guard was just quick and strong. Funny to see steph have games like this BUT as just a primary shooter, some days it just doesnt fall.

JC76

great breakdown alch

Offtopic K

Kerr is one of those smart guys that doesn’t like to show his work. I think us as warriors fans are used to him being deceptive on his game plan and weaknesses in the offense. The world isn’t used to this.

Athletic Alchemy

I didn't fit it in to the breakdown, but I was thinking Bam is the guy these young guards should want to pair with. I bet Spo and Pat are already scheming on Ant

Kevin Luong

Thanks Alc, Bam going HAM
