Been a couple weeks since the Olympics ended. Looking back, in hindsight, Tatum was always going to have a smaller role with LeBron and KD there, but it didn't help that Tatum's jump shot wasn't falling going all the way back to the beginning of the NBA playoffs. And if we know Kerr, if you can't shoot, he considers you a big. With LeBron, KD, AD and Bam playing well and Embiid being their one true big, there just wasn't a role for him. Part of me feels bad for him, but at the end of the day the main objective is to win Gold and that's what they did.

I'm from Canada, but seeing as they're eliminated, Steph being my fav athlete ever, and just seeing the greatness on the floor, this was for sure one of the best games I've ever seen. Those last few minutes were just pure joy even from someone who isn't American. It was just so cool to see Steph, KD, Bron all do their thing. Feels like you couldn't have written it any better. S/O Embiid and Book too, and the bench for hyping em up. I think Steph's struggles also have to do with them not utilizing him properly either. We all know he's a rhythm player, and it's important to get the ball in his hands and put up shots early, and I think that was the key. Obviously plenty of mouths to feed on this team, but seems like the finally made the right move this time around, and they absolutely needed every point from him. Thanks for the breakdown fam!

This was a game for the ages. Steph came blazing out of his shooting slump and put Team USA on his back. Without his 36 points, we would've been dead in the water. I was glad to see Joel have a great game as well. Now, Jayson Tatum's mom is online questioning why he didn't get any playing time. 🤷🏾♂️ I feel for Kerr & Grant Hill at this point. No matter what they do, someone's going to be upset. Also, watch the replays of the women's 4 x 100 and Quincy Hall in the men's 400M. Both were historic races. Peace.

So clear that Serbia doesn't have the talent that the US has, but they can match them as a team. I bet that if Serbia would have won, that no one would have cared how many minutes they had or how many assist and or points. They just care if the team wins. In the States ppl are so used to individual accolades, that it sometimes seems to overshadow the team. Great game though, and looking forward to the finals!!

Guys I think......I think this might have been the greatest single basketball game I've ever seen. My top 4 all-time games ever (not in any order) are: Rockets 2018 Game 7, OKC 2016 Double Bang game, Game 4 2022 Finals, Game 6 OKC 2016. I think this one just topped all of them. This was some of the purest basketball Ive ever had the privilege of witnessing. It had everything. The only thing missing was that it was not the gold medal game itself. The amount of INSANELY clutch plays in the final 7 minutes of this game.....KD with the 4 pt play. Booker the clutch 3 right after. KD with the defense to force a backcourt violation. Emiid's middy, his block, his and1. Lebron with the freight train finishes. Curry with the rattler to take the lead, KD with the iso-cross pull up middy. Curry again with the steal and finish between two defenders. Omg. This was pure basketball porn.

Been looking forward to this all day! Man this was just one of those games... you talk about and remember years down the road. I think Bill Simmons said it best about France though, they dont have the shooters like Serbia does and it might be 2 pts to our 3pts so we will see but I was shocked when France beat Germany but also happy to see them over Germany in the finals.

I think it started with the ball and then it trickled into his confidence because yeah on this roster he doesn't have as many chances to shoot out of it. So much of shooting slumps become chicken or egg, but I am positive that ball was part of it

Steph’s struggles seemed to be 50/50 the ball and his own confidence. The seams on the ball definitely played a factor but just the spin on the ball can tell a lot about someones confidence as well, even when i shoot with my regular ball im used to I still notice that when im in rhythm and im hot i have a lot more rotation on my ball. The confidence issue was just more of sharing the stage with so many other stars it turns steph’s ultra green light in his head into a yellow light. When he’s coming off a down screen he’s thinking ill maybe shoot this but you could tell in this game he made his mind up he was pulling unless the defender completely sold out. I tell kids i train all the time catch to shoot the ball don’t catch to pass the ball, but understandably when i play around other good hoopers im a lot more trigger shy compared to when im playing on a team where im the best player and let that thing go whenever/however.
