The Big Trends in Basketball: Who would have guessed that Stephs’ successor would be an Iowa farm girl? But there must be a fifteen-year-old bomber in Central Africa or Lithuania or Southern California ready to step on the stage in the 2030’s….? The 65 game rule has produced the best regular season of basketball in a generation. The 300 million people of Europe have now generated players equal to the 300 million North Americans. Will the Paris Olympics be the place where the Eastern Hemisphere conquers the aging US Dream Team? The game was controlled by Wilt & Bill Russell & Nate Thurmond when I was a kid. We are returning to those days with Wemby & Holmgren & Jokic. But there was no three point shot available to Jerry West and Oscar Robertson. What kind of a world is it going to be when the seven-footers are better long-range bombers than the guards? I think the rules are too oriented against good defense but I understand that scoring puts fans in seats so I doubt we’ll see another Bad Boy Pistons any day soon. But who will stop the Wemby Spurs from regularly scoring 140?

Commenting here since YT will have way more comments, but this was cool to hear a breakdown on all of the first games so far. I agree with you 100% on Denver. They remind me so much of the pre-KD warriors, where like oh it's close, but we're still better. Looking forward to a breakdown of the DEN/LA series. OKC/NOLA is fun too. I love that the fans wear all the shirts. Gotta say though, I think OKC is lucky Zion may not play. It's already looking like a tough matchup without him, but entertaining regardless. ANT is the next big thing man. I love watching the dude. He's got big time dawg in him lmao. I think that series also goes 7, but I'm lowkey liking Minny, especially considering PHX's depth is pretty mid at best.

Totally. Adams doesn't really want the ball as much and clears out for others (it seems). JV can hit 3s, he has a decent hook shot, and seems a bit more persistent inside. He looks like triple the depth of Chet tho. Lu Dorts needs to change his name to Lu Darts.
