The motion structure we so heavily rely on, tends to not create the same shots over and over. No doubt when you have higher IQ shooters, the shots can be more dynamic (Otto, Beli) because they can find their spots, but standstill open threes are the easiest simplified shots we don't try for unless the opponent is willingly giving them up to none-threats. It's also tough to a get a rhythm especially when space on the floor is constantly being moved and rotations are what they are. It's just so crazy how we don't lean on what works for a particular matchup and rather stay within the structure regardless of if it's getting blown up or players aren't in sync.

Haven't really seen anything of Dallas since they made those moves. Man they are nice even as annoying as I find Luka. Gafford and PJ just gives them so much size and athleticism. Lively is amazing too. Didn't expect to win this game. Klay needs to be playing fewer minutes even than he is now and resting more games. I understand the temptation to go to him with Steph out but he just doesn't have the legs for it and really hasn't since he came back. They have to make moves reshape the roster and the system in the off season but all signs point towards them cutting salary and doing nothing.

Alch funny enough your issues with Kerr and his challenges is more with the guy on the bench in charge of making the decision by looking at the replay which Kerr usually relies on outside of what he sees + players' request. Funny part is he's the same guy you had issues with over the coaching in the last summer league too

I feel like the theme of this year is lack of urgency, from the coaching staff/Kerr to the roster game to game. And watching Gafford this game the front office as well. Too much hopeful thinking that we’re gonna turn back the clock or not thinking anyone is a needle mover. You’re telling me Gafford wouldn’t make us a significantly better team rn? Hopefully another burnout causes some actually meaningful change this offseason.

Look, it’s obvious that more players are getting sick of the coaching staff, especially the youngsters. They never get clear instructions at first, the mins distribution is never fair, and they know they can play better without the fucking Steve Kerr. But no one is gonna stand up against him to mess up the locker room. So just shrug and accept it’s another wasted Steph year. How many years Lakers wasted Kobe? 3?

It would be great if Kerr just stopped playing Dario at this point. The entire mood of the game changes when this dude is on the court. He doesn't play D, bobbles the ball, and seems to only want to play pick and pop out by the 3 point line. Roll to the basket! My criticism for this season lies with Kerr; challenge that call. Get on some of these players who are not bringing any energy in game. Require Draymond and Klay to work out with Curry's endurance coach. Work with the GM to dump some of these scrawny guards for an athletic big.

Sometimes the ball does not go in....BUT we are definitely missing switches...not pushing to help...and sometimes, I think we don't know where the ball is. To me, it looks like a total breakdown of the most basic fundamentals in defense. It almost looks purposeful...I'll need to see a start-to-finish commitment to defense before I can believe we have a shot to go deep. I just don't understand why their defense doesn't travel night to night.

Haven't watched your YouTube video yet, but yea when I saw how little Gafford went for at the deadline it was a bit disappointing. There's this narrative that a decent big is always available, but every deadline when you're looking for one for a pick, there's rarely a solid option on the market - last year it was just Poetl (who was only available bc he was inline for a big extension). Did the Mavs fuck their optionality long-term for 10th-15th best center in basketball, sure. But the Warriors organization seems to undervalue the impact in the equation of continuous solid 2-way frontcourt minutes. It loads rosters with firepower and no backbone.
