Watching Warriors fans excuse Draymond time after time is like watching a battered housewife go back to her abuser. Draymond is not the heart/brain/balls/[[insert organ here]] of this team. If we're nothing without him, then we're nothing. He's an embarrassment at this point, you all need to get how the rest of the league looks at him now. He's a pariah. You know, I think we talk a lot about skill and athleticism, but the warriors are making me think about just how important intelligence and self-sufficiency is. And tbh, both Klay and Wiggins are genuinely d*mb basketball players. Like, there’s nothing going on up there. There might be evidence to suggest that Steph isn’t all that self-aware either, at least when it’s not about scoring. This is why it’s so hard for me to give up on Draymond because he makes sure our starting line up plays intelligent offense and defense. That’s the only reason Pods is getting playing time, because he actually makes reads from his own brain. And also why Kuminga is *beginning * to look like a Him. And so, I watch a team like the clippers who have a Paul George (or even a Powell) who can get you a patient, thoughtful bucket and it’s hard for me to imagine a championship scenario where our #2 or #3 player ISN’T someone who can, from possession to possession, make an offensive read without any help from anyone else. Again, draymond was the connector…but with the regression of our airhead starters, his presence might really be futile after all.

Maybe I'm being pessimistic, but I just don't see a top trade target that's going to change this team's outlook overnight. That's not to say they should stand pat bc the signs are there for a change, but none of the big targets look like game changers. Perhaps something more on the margins like a CoJo & Watanabe swap you mentioned in another video could help, but unless KD decides to demand another trade, I just don't know where the reinforcements are coming from.

It's the system for Miami. The put those guys through the paces and there's no forgiveness for showing up fat (Dray, Loon) or rusty (Klay, Wiggs) or fat and short (CP3). They clearly practice harder/better/more than any other team, off-season and in-season, and have probably the best film room in the league. Kerr wasn't kidding about being out-coached here. But the coaching in Miami is not game-to-game, it's continuous improvement. That's how these "scrap-heap" players always work out for them. Also, Spo plays the guys who are playing with effort. No excuses, no forgiveness for vets. No nostalgia minutes. You want to know why Duncan and Herro's defense improved? Because they got stitched to the bench when they slacked. Kerr could learn a thing or two.

Miami is damn good at finding these diamonds in the rough & turnin them into solid contributors. Seems like as long as they have Jimmy & Bam as the head, they can always compete. pretty impressive. Also, Jaquez looks real comfortable out there for a rook. hoping he has a long & healthy career

Warriors losses in years past had anticipation that wins were right around the corner...they were still thrilling and exciting because you never knew when Curry or Klay would put on a show. Now it just feels ordinary and disappointing. I am excited for the young guns tho and that's really why I keep watching.

There was a sequence in the fourth where Moody grabbed a rebound and was immediately trapped by Miami. None of Moody's teammates came to help him so he broke free on his own and then was tripped from behind. He then got up by himself with no help. This was the perfect analogy for Moody's time on the Warriors.

Couple of things-besides another great breakdown Alch: 1: Kuminga sure picked a horrible time to have a bad game-but Klay seems to have a bad game quite often as well. I hope that JK gets his game back together and doesn't slide all the way back. 2: I'm just looking forward to whatever changes happen to this team by the deadline as last night really said that given the opportunity, this team might not have the energy or the right pieces to spackle it together to make a run. They looked like they all would rather be back at home in front of the fireplace instead of at Chase. I really don't know what they do. I hope they keep JK but I can see why they'd move off of him if they felt they could better the team. RIght now-they feel pretty stale and tired. Not a great way to start yet another long homestand-remember the last one where they blew the OKC game and Draymond got his first suspension? These home stands were supposed to be chances for the Dubs to make up ground-they really need to win a majority of these home games to have any chance at all. They look at best like a .500 team.

If we traded Klay, I guarantee this team would improve via addition by subtraction, similar to how the Lakers improved when Russ was gone. He is just a killer on both ends of the floor. Need a true young to mid prime aged #2 to get us through the slog of the regular season and raise our ceiling for the postseason 🥴 the whole team feels like they know they’re not that good and therefore aren’t completely locked in night to night. Then add in the confusion about roles. Need some sort of shake up. I know big trades usually don’t come till the deadline but would love just anything even along the margins, like how the Lakers got Hachimura last year under the radar.
