😂 fair point although Otto was basically the first big off the bench, Rudy might be the 3rd or 4th. If he can give us Otto-like production in half the mins I'd still say that's a win for the 14th man on a team. Also hearing his interviews seems like the perfect locker room vet this year to re-establish the culture

The lineup flexibility this year is off the charts. I am digging the roster construction for this upcoming season and I hope Dunleavy Jr and Steve can develop a working relationship similar to Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch.

GP2 plays well with Draymond and Wiggins. This Trio can shut down the opposing team. Adding CP and Dario to that line-up. We can out-score most teams on that lineup

CP3 is just better fit than JP. Saric is good fit too. JK is gonna be alright. Klay is much better to defend PF than SF who should be covered by Wiggins. The major shortcomings are fixed. Now it is how to stay healthy and remain competitive till Playoffs. In the West, Denver is still the biggest threat to me. The Rest are not proven so I believe we can overcome

Most exciting things about Kuminga besides the rebounding is the handle looks a lot tighter and crisper, especially that power dribble on that first hesi. Shot also looks a lot smoother, would love your thoughts on if he changed anything on it. Podz seems like he can play the Donte role in spurts which will be huge given the age of our guard rotation. I was optimistic before but everything just fits so well can’t wait for the season to start. People still worried about size but last year we basically had nothing behind Draymond and loon with jamychal and wiseman providing nothing most nights. Now we got Saric who’s a match made in heaven, TJD who looks ready to play in spurts and adds athleticism, and a PJ Tucker lite in Garuba. Plus if we add Rudy Gay he might be the closest player to Otto in the league with the mix of size, smarts, and shooting. I’m drinking the kool aid for sure 😂😮‍💨

gp2 is a very difficult players to start on any other team, we have elite spacing and curry allows for defensive specialists to thrive, it's a huge reason why we have been able to field so many good defenses. Donte is a better player, and that isn't a knock on him, agree with you 100%. that doesn't mean gp2 isn't better for OUR team though. we need elite defenders, hopefully kuminga is on his way to being one.

hearing pod know his role was awesome. Dude understands what he is and what he is gonna have to do. I think he is gonna suprise alot of people. Kuminga and moody becoming real contributors is probably the most important thing for this team. I would be surpised if we see Cp3, curry, klay, and draymond play more than 50 games together in the regular season. I think we need to start loon still, having the oldest lineup in the league is gonna spell for disaster. And it is insanely small. I think the team looks way better if we have cp3 on the bench. I know cp3 is a new guy, but I think he could do well to challenge klay and draymond, who I think get a little to much leeway. I probably would enjoy cp3 chewing out klay more than I should lol.

It's just my opinion. In a vacuum DDV is a much better player I feel no ways to say that... but he also sh.. the bed a bit in the playoff where GP2 was clutch at least in 21-22. I'm not saying GP2 isn't awesome for the team... but you are talking about a player who is about as niche as you get in the league v a guy who is first guard off the bench quality for most teams. So it cuts both ways. I love GP2 but I think he'll be the guy squeezed out of regular rotation more for spot matchups based on the roster mechanics. We got 11 or 12 playable it looks like... and Moody and GP2 are both on the edge of the list. I think it bends toward Moody.

Was a fun game, POdz seems like a high IQ player I just hope Kerr doesn't fall in love with him as much as he did DD from last season and be playing him more than he should. Defensively we looked surprisingly good despite being small. Offensively still far too much 3 ball chucking for my taste, almost no intention to try and break the paint. Bring on the rest of Pre season and regular season.

GP2 over Donte man. We need GP2's perimeter defense more than Donte's shooting. Plus, Donte actually had a hard time staying in front of his man but that got overlooked because of his hustle on defense.

Klay definitely has me concerned with that shot selection. Hate to say it, but I feel like the team always flows better when he isn't on the court. I don't know what happened to him, but he is such a ball-stopper these days. Feel like the possession dies when Klay decides to attack

I was a little bit disappointed with Trace Jackson-davis. I can live with him having a hard time defending Wood, but dude had 1 rebound in 14 minutes. That just shows a lack of effort and hustle.

If Usman Garuba can play defense and stand among bigs in similar fashion as Green we will do more than compete. Garuba is not the typical young rookie player because of his experience in the Spanish ABC league and the Spanish National Team. Its just one game but it looked much better team than last year.

CP3 in Poole out... check Dario in JMG out... check Podz in Rollins out... check TJD in PBJ out... jury is out but I believe PBJs health and mobility is still a ways away and trust TJD Garuba in Wiseman out... triple check. GP2 in DDV out... it's a push tbh DDV prob a little better reg season guy. CP3 6MOTY and Kuminga MIP campaigns firmly underway. Good to hear your voice on a hoops recap Alc. Keep up the good work.

Oh no. I've got that feeling in my gut like we could be real good this year (which means I'm primed for some heartbreak a month or two from now). Lots more savvy and IQ on the court last night was palpable from the jump. Size will continue to hinder us in games this year, but I like what I'm seeing out of the gate here. We're doubling down on our strengths, so let's see how far that takes us
