No worries at all :) I misspelled that, I meant 110%!

Spielweltenschmiede

Sorry for the double post. I thought that I successfully deleted it on MMF... 11% on every axis? What do you mean by that? 111%? Thx in advance.

Making Tlon

I answered also in MMF, but I will post it here too for reference: All of the OpenLOCK tiles use the OpenLOCK standard that is mean for D&D. Basically 1 inch equals 5 feet or 1.5 meters in real life. I find that most miniature models are a bit higher that that in scale, but this is what basically all maps and dungeons use. If you want to upscale them I suggest keeping the proportions the same (11% on every axis in that case) but it depends on your models and the look you are goig for :)

Spielweltenschmiede

What scale is it? When I try it in 3D Builder with my 32 mm heroic test figure, I think anything around 120% width & depth and 110% height will fit the best...

Gagius

It worked! thank you. The OpenLOCK clip I have the STL but...what do you use for "pins" to join the low walls with the upper part without magnets (I don´t have budget for that)

Making Tlon

You are right. I uploaded the correct folder now. That's definitely on me, thank you for spotting that super fast and sorry for the mistake. I labelled it "updated". You should be able to download it right now :)

Gagius

Thank you but...most of them aren´t completely flat, for instance "MT.MagItShop.Play.Low.Wall.Front.2in.Door" has a tiny square in the middle that goes up to 11 layers (at 50 microns). From the same category Front 1 and 2 aren´t flush with the buildplate, although 1 is for just one layer.

Thank you!

I use grids at my table too, I went with this "continuous" look for the floors since it gave detail and believability to the building's style. It looks perfect in the render (which it is, mostly seamless) but that's because these are the "perfect" 3D models. Once printed the corners of the tiles usually show a small bit of warping and that, I find, is enough to distinguish 1x1 and 2x2 inches tiles on the tables, so that positioning minis on them is quite easy - following these imperfections is enough. That said, four wooden beams add up to one inch, that may help too with visualizing. I'll keep the grid in mind for future releases :)

Making Tlon

Thanks! I usually stick the OpenLOCK tiles directly on the plate of the printer so that they print without supports. I suggest trying that out since it saves a lot of resin and printing time. Even doors and windows - that have a bit of overhang - come out perfectly. And for the rest, yeah, bills are bills. I think I will take at least one month per year off so that the quality of everything here improves, we'll see :)

Making Tlon

Thank you!

Making Tlon

Great! And thanks :)

Eric Irish

Are there any plans for a gridded version? It looks fantastic, but I use terrain exclusively for dnd and don't have any use for sets without a grid. My group doesn't like using rulers or any other form of measuring distance

Gagius

Amazing. One question though...for resin printing, how do you support the parts? tilt and support? Since the External and external walls (also the playable lower versions) don´t come pre-supported. Also yes, take the month off, hope you can rest a bit...I´d say take two but bills are bills

Halonys

Simply impressive!

Floortje

Looks amazing once again! And I do not mind skipping December! I already have waaaaay to much prints that still need to be printed (not to mention the prints that still need to be painted). '^.^
