Chapter 118: The Easy-to-Train Type!

But then again—who told it that even Harry, its master, had “defected”?
Under the combined, all-out control of Harry and the Sorcerer Supreme, that chaos magic which had been rampaging freely seemed to be soothed by an invisible hand. It quivered faintly, then—slowly, stubbornly—returned to Harry’s body.
As the magic gradually calmed, the surrounding timelines—on the verge of snapping, tangled like a chaotic mess—also seemed to be gently combed back into order, little by little returning to normal.
When everything finally settled, even the Sorcerer Supreme felt a wave of fatigue. She breathed lightly, sweat sliding down her pale forehead and dripping onto her chest.
She looked at Harry and said helplessly, “Harry, don’t be so intense next time. Do that too many times, and I can’t take it.”
Hearing his teacher, Harry looked embarrassed. He scratched his head and said resignedly, “Sorry, Teacher. It won’t happen again. But you know… this time the haul was amazing!
Look at this leg—snow-white and long, the lines so smooth it’s basically a work of art. I even handled it a bit earlier—man, that texture was slick as hell. Absolutely incredible!
It’s definitely perfect wand-making material!”
After quite a bit of effort, Harry had finally compressed the Destroyer Armor’s snow-white long leg down to the size of a normal human leg.
Now he held the segment tightly in both hands, unable to put it down as he stroked it over and over.
Seeing that, the Sorcerer Supreme’s lips curved almost imperceptibly, a faint smile forming as she said in her calm, magnetic voice, “There aren’t many materials in the universe better than the Uru alloy on the Destroyer Armor. If you use this portion of Uru as the core, and then blend in your hair, blood, and bone… you might be able to craft a wand that suits you even better.”
Harry’s eyes lit up. His face instantly filled with flattering smiles as he hurriedly said, “That’s my teacher for you—visionary, insightful, exactly what I was thinking!”
At this moment, the Sorcerer Supreme’s sweat had somehow vanished without Harry noticing, and she returned to that familiar, tranquil presence—like all things could be soothed into peace before her.
And she said something terrifying as casually as chatting over tea:
“I have to leave. A few dimensional demon gods have been getting restless lately—behaving badly. I need to go deal with it. Wrap things up on your end as soon as you can. There are still some matters waiting for you at Kamar-Taj.”
The moment she finished speaking, she took a composed step back, her figure calmly entering a portal that appeared behind her without warning.
On the other side of the portal was bottomless, boundless darkness, like a mysterious black hole that could swallow everything.
From within that darkness, a furious roar echoed faintly:
“Damn it, Ancient One—can’t you just leave me alone?!”
Harry: “…”
Harry stood there watching the portal close, the corner of his mouth twitching as he silently complained to himself:
Which dimensional demon god is this—using the toughest tone to say the most cowardly thing? No matter how you look at it, he’s totally the type that’s easy to train.
If I get the chance later, I can grab him and keep him as a pet—train him properly.
Maybe I can even train him into a tsundere.
Harry was still lost in his thoughts when he suddenly sensed a powerful surge of magic behind him.
He spun around sharply, only to see a thin white line streaking across the distant sky like a meteor. It drew closer and closer—an object punching through the sound barrier at high speed, forming a sonic boom cloud.
In just a few seconds, that white line arrived over the desert town and dropped straight into Thor’s hands, where he caught it firmly.
At the same time, heavy storm clouds had gathered at some point, rapidly converging into a funnel that hung low from the sky—the tip of the funnel aimed directly at Thor.
In the next instant, countless bolts of lightning—like enraged serpents—lashed out from deep within the clouds, striking Thor head-on.
Thor was no longer mortal now. The God of Thunder was finally no longer afraid of being electrocuted—if anything, he threw his head back into the sea of lightning, wearing a confident, heroic grin.
Within that violent baptism of thunder, he reclaimed his divine power!
As the lightning gradually faded, Thor stood tall, clad in Uru armor. Every muscle in his body was taut, lines swelling with power, while thin threads of lightning—like lively sprites—leapt through the gaps in his armor, lighting up rune markings across the plating and on Mjolnir one by one.
Thor raised Mjolnir high, lightning crackling around him as he struck a full-on dramatic pose and roared in a voice like rolling thunder:
“Where is the Destroyer Armor?!”
Caw caw caw…
It was as if a raven flew across the sky.
The only answer was an eerie silence.
A moment later, realizing things were not playing out the way he had imagined and no one was responding, Thor finally couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“What’s going on? I’ve regained my power—right now I can defeat the Destroyer Armor and save you all!”
Behind Thor, Jane Foster and the others stood there, wanting to speak but stopping themselves, excitement and awkwardness tangled across their faces.
On one hand, they were thrilled by the mind-blowing fact that Thor really was the God of Thunder. On the other hand, Thor’s current situation was painfully awkward.
In the end, it was Jane—Thor’s current girlfriend—who stepped forward first, before his former love interest Sif, breaking the deadlock.
Jane threw her arms around Thor tightly, her voice trembling. “Thor… it’s so good you’re okay!”
Thor held Jane Foster in his arms, but her gentleness didn’t distract him for long. His attention was still fixed on the Destroyer Armor—he was determined to “answer” that earlier punch properly.
So after a brief embrace, Thor pushed her back slightly, hands on her shoulders, urgency blazing in his eyes.
“Jane, tell me—where is the Destroyer Armor? I’m going to defeat it right now and save this town!”
Jane hesitated, unable to speak.
At that moment, Harry walked up, his face dark as he stared at the hammer in Thor’s hand.
Mjolnir had been stored at his seaside villa. Without even thinking, Harry knew it—on the way here, that hammer had definitely smashed through several walls, charging out like a battering ram.
Sure, damaged walls could be fixed with a Repairing Charm.
But in the basement, Harry had stored plenty of precious potions and special materials infused with magic.
If those were destroyed, the current, unimproved Repairing Charm wouldn’t be able to restore them completely.
The more Harry thought about it, the more it hurt. He felt his wallet bleeding. He poured ice-cold water on Thor without mercy:
“The Destroyer Armor has already been defeated by me. This town is no longer in danger. If anything, for it right now, you and Sif and the Warriors Three are the biggest danger.”
Harry flicked his wand and cast silently. The desert town’s buildings seemed to rewind through time, rapidly repairing themselves. The devastated town gradually regained its former life.
With the rebuilding town as a backdrop, Harry gritted his teeth and said, “Thor, now we’re going to carefully calculate exactly how many of my potions you smashed—and how much you’re going to compensate me.”
Thor might be rich, sure.
But some of those destroyed potions weren’t something money could replace.
For example: the prototype Instigator Potion Harry had painstakingly developed—based on mind magic, and the blood of mutants with psychic abilities. Its value simply couldn’t be measured in cash.
The Instigator Potion was the next-stage potion after the Assassin Potion. It could disrupt minds and intensify conflict—similar to certain aspects of the Mind Stone’s legendary abilities.
If that potion had been shattered, Harry would have to spend enormous effort, time, and rare materials to brew it again.
Right now, Thor was completely confused.
He stared wide-eyed, full of disbelief. He never would’ve imagined the Destroyer Armor had been defeated by Harry.
But compensation? What compensation? Why would he be compensating Harry?
After Harry patiently explained everything in detail, Thor finally understood, looking awkward.
“Don’t worry—the God of Thunder never dodges a debt. But right now, I have to return to Asgard first. Loki… that guy seems to have caused serious trouble over there. I need to go deal with it!”
Hearing that, Harry’s eyes flickered. He smiled warmly.
“Perfect timing. I’ll go with you. I also have some things I want to have a nice little talk with Loki about.”
On the words nice little talk, Harry put extra emphasis.
Thor didn’t suspect a thing and replied without thinking, “Even better. With your help, we’ll solve Asgard’s trouble faster.”
Off to the side, Sif wore an expectant expression and a meaningful smile.
She knew someone was about to have a very, very bad day.
Thor turned around and gently took Jane’s hand. The two of them stayed close for a while, and Thor spoke softly, promising he would definitely return soon to be with her again.
Then Thor took a deep breath, strode over to Harry and the others, and shouted:
“Heimdall, bring down the Bifrost!”
Caw caw caw…
The raven flew past again, its call echoing emptily in lonely silence.
After failing twice in a row, even Thor—dense as he could be—felt unbearably embarrassed.
His face reddened slightly. Confusion flashed in his eyes as he mumbled an explanation:
“Looks like Asgard is in worse shape than I thought. Even Heimdall must be in trouble—otherwise he’d never ignore my call.”
Thor called several more times, his voice echoing across the open sky—yet still, like a stone sinking into the sea, there wasn’t the slightest response.
Seeing this, Harry sighed and stepped forward, patting Thor on the shoulder.
“Let me.”
As he spoke, Harry raised his wand and closed his eyes, carefully sketching Asgard’s image in his mind. With a slow sweep of the wand, a portal opened.
On the other side was the end of the Rainbow Bridge—the familiar golden spherical structure and the shimmering Bifrost coming into view.
Under the influence of the fully activated ancient rune array, Harry could only open the portal to this place.
With the portal open, Thor nodded to Jane, then took a deep breath and stepped forward, entering first.
Just as Harry was about to be the last one through, Coulson suddenly rushed out from the side and shouted:
“Consultant Potter—can I come with you?”
Coulson was intensely curious about Asgard, and he also wanted intelligence about it.
Harry thought for a moment, then shook his head.
Right now, Loki should be holding Gungnir. With the spear’s amplification, his power could very well climb to a sub-Skyfather level.
If Harry didn’t overload his magic, he wouldn’t be able to protect Coulson.
Coulson was a rare potential asset—if he died in Asgard, that would be a waste.
So Harry refused.
“Sorry, Coulson. It’s dangerous over there—you can’t go. But once things stabilize, maybe I can take you to see it. In the meantime, do a few more missions for me—consider it paying off your ticket.”
With that, Harry didn’t hesitate any longer. He stepped into the portal—and in an instant, he arrived at the end of the Bifrost.
The moment he landed, the chaotic scene before him caught his eye. Harry’s brows knit tightly.
This was even worse than he’d imagined.
