Development Update 66

In the last development update I said I would be putting the twins' content to one side for a short time to switch my focus to the staff training storyline. When we last left things off, Debbie had just been rude to Claire and she needed to be punished after school in the headmaster’s office. So, first on my list of things to do was add in an extra level for Debbie in her punishment system. Debbie can now be raised to level 7 with a new punishment action. I also have some images and animations set up for after Debbie’s punishment to replace her bottomless scenes with fully naked ones. Plus, I’ve updated Debbie’s public punishment with a naked version too.

Next on my list of things to do for the staff training storyline was to revisit Claire’s apartment and to discuss the best way for Claire to assert her dominance over Debbie. They'll also discuss the twins and how best to proceed with their punishments. This will mark an important turning point for Claire, as they discuss the topic of students providing sexual pleasure to their teachers. Of course, it's not enough for the headmaster to convince Claire to let the students provide them with sexual favours, she needs to believe that it is in the students’ best interests. I won’t deny that this conversation has been a real challenge to write. Sometimes I’ll write a scene and the words flow effortlessly. Other times, it’s a real struggle and I find myself constantly rewriting lines and reordering paragraphs; trying to find the best way to present an argument, or to make a comically absurd suggestion somehow seem believable. The last couple of weeks have definitely been a case of the latter. Fortunately, despite the slow progress, I am very happy with what I’ve got typed up so far. Unfortunately, I’ve still got some more agonising to do over it before I am ready to move on. Claire needs to be fully on board with the headmaster’s agenda so that we can make the staff training sessions and the twins' punishments a lot more spicy.

Usually when I get stuck on a scene, I’ll switch to something completely different to motivate myself and keep productive. So, I also spent a little bit of time over the last few weeks working on Alice’s classroom content. I’ve got a short scene written for her and a fantastic animation set up in draft form. I also made a little progress with the staff yoga lessons, some extra content for the weekly medicals, a mini scene for the girls' locker room and a few other fun bits and pieces. Hopefully, all of that will find its way into version 0.17, but no promises.

I've got some technical and admin work to do for the first half of this week. Then I really need to immerse myself back into my writing for just a little bit longer. I still have a few more important conversations to get through. After that, it will mostly just be a case of catching up with all the rendering and recording the draft animations. I am still confident that we are on course for an Autumn release date. My best guess right now would be mid to late October.
The link to the walk-through has changed
For unknown reasons the public MEGA folder with the games' walk-through was taken down. I have set up a new folder with MediaFire which can be found here.
There was a link to the walk-through in the in-game cheat menu, so I am going to have to release a new public version (version 0.16.4.4). There are several minor bugs which we may as well fix at the same time. I will have the new version up on the itch page later this week, although I won’t announce it here because people will just get confused and think there is new content out.
Android APK Version (Hopefully) Making a Return
We stopped making a dedicated android version after version 0.12 due to google’s file size restrictions. Since then we have been telling Android users to play the windows version on their phones using the JoiPlay app. This was never a perfect solution, and I have always said if I can figure out a better alternative I would pursue it.
I recently managed to create a functional android version which gets around the file size restrictions by installing a small APK with just the Ren'py engine on it. This will then automatically download the game's files from our own dedicated server. I had some help setting this up from another developer (Droosk), he didn’t ask for anything in return, but I will be doing a proper cross promo for him soon (in a public post) as a thank you.
Before I can release the APK version I have some technical issues to sort out, some of which are outside of mine, and my small teams, areas of expertise. Therefore, we are currently looking for an experienced web administrator to help me get our server properly set up. Given the nature of the game I would much prefer to have a patron's help rather than going through regular channels. So, if you have experience with web server admin and are willing to donate a little of your time, please get in touch with me either through Patreon or on our Discord.
