also i usually do patreon stuff towards the beginning of the week -- there's new patrons i wanna welcome still and a couple dms i gotta get back to but i always prioritize patreon messages if you got questions to ask or anything like that!! i'm just super behind on everything in general because i've been so busy lmfao TωT
just wanted to say i'll probably get it done before monday, but i'll really get around to it then because that or tuesday is usually my patreon day lmao
here's what i said on twitter in case you missed it or want it all in one place:
since ega has pixels that are sliiightly tall, there's a couple ways to approximate it with square pixels. not sure which will get mangled least by twitter so i did both! curious what the results are old drawing -- don't like that candy face. LOVE that pigmon face though
i think the gun turned out okay because despite not being on-model, the mechanical stuff turned out fairly authentically id softwarey
i can dick around and make non-animated mechanical things in pixel art all day so i've been considering making a shmup a shmup with Sexy Radio Chatter probably. asswolf pilot in your squadron who keeps trying to show you various parts of her body whenever it's her turn to talk
this is because i've been wanting to make a game for a long time but they seem so intimidating the wesnoth philosophy got me thinking though: https://wiki.wesnoth.org/WesnothPhilosophy i.e. you only implement the easiest things you can think of. i think a pixel arty shmup could be that for me
