We have Cory Provus for the Twins who still has an old school broadcast feel because he worked with Bob Uecker and Pat Hughes. You are right, there's not too many really good announcers left in baseball.

I grew-up in a boarder town. The town (Cumberland Gap, which the part of grew-up in voted to break away to form Harrogate, Tennessee), and even though I grew-up in the south. I still grew-up a Cubs fan, part of it was my parents meant on South of Chicago, and the other having to do with WGN. We watched WGN channel, and the news all the time.

When you do major league 2 , I have a story. One of the Cleveland baseball players is from my hometown and is a family friend. He is featured in several scenes and my mom is an extra in the crowd.

I don’t agree. Comedies can be cheap - they’re not effects driven. A $150 million dollar comedy could be a big hit on $30 million dollar budget. The problem is the streaming executives control the playing board, and are the final destination for all movies. So films are no longer made to bring in audiences to theater but to appeal to the suits at the streaming platforms and they publicly traded companies with social risk as a big concern.

Personally the "cancel culture" and "Can't make this now" mentality is pure dog crap. Most of these movies can be made without "offending" someone. Big budget comedies just don't make money, it's always a money game. Trust me there's still plenty of damn good insensitive and funny movies being made, granted they're rarer now. Check out No hard feelings, BEEF, I think you should leave with Tim robinson or his show detroiters. Plenty that is "Cancel" worthy. It's a bad mentality for grown men to have to blanket statement blame what is two people on tik tok who were mad and the reality of that the majority still adore and love these movies. Like saying blazing saddles or tropic thunder couldn't be made today, not because of the humor but because of the budget and lack of theater draw. Studios want blockbusters, not risks.

Imagine the team stripping the paper cutout of the owner? steven segal as a tastle wearing show girl? they'd throw the season. lol
