i have been thinking incessantly about the dynamic between your youtube audience and percieved bigotry the show is accused of. I think Riley is on a ‘shorter leash’ then graydon, because of the show’s tendency toward graydon as the wacky man (upsetting our expectation) and riley as the straight man (no gay joke). Because people pidgeon hole instinctively, graydon becomes the embodiment of the average person and riley becomes anything that upsets that (ideal) average person.
