Remember when I showed you a photo of this painting earlier? Here's the scanned version. It's my favourite piece I've made in a long time, and I truly enjoyed every part of the process.
I sometimes worry that I repeat myself too much, that people might think, "There she goes again, painting leaves." But I just love plants and nature so much. Nothing else in an image soothes and excites me quite like lush greenery. I love putting on nature sounds while I paint (I live in a city, so my natural soundscape is cars and people shouting). That sense of peace and stillness is something I’m always craving.
Below, you'll see the second nature-themed painting I’ve done recently, and I'm quite fond of it too. Which one do you prefer?

Your paintigs are windows to magical places. The first one makes me think of Arriety, and I just love that. The second I wonder where the steps lead to, a forgotten temple in the middle of nature. I particularly like the way you draw animals, and the deer is lovely, and for me brings peace and life to the scene.

Honestly - as long as YOU enjoy 'repeating yourself' I doubt anyone minds. Your paintings have always brought me peace. And often because of all the greenery. And the leaves! n_n I can just feel the atmosphere soaring from them. I already loved the wip of the one with the lotus leaves and now I'm just. Yes. This speaks to me so much. The deer one has a lovely lighting and the sense of stillness you mentioned!! It's great! But the lotus one is just... yeah. That one's extremely pretty <3 <3
