Shantae and Princess Daisy's Babysitter Service (A Shantae/Mario Brothers Crossover)

Our story begins inside a building just outside the castle walls where our purple haired hero stood on her tiptoes, twisting a wrench until two segments of pipe were affixed to each other. Shantae took a step back and admired her handiwork while wiping her forehead.
"I think that should just about do it for the showerhead." Shantae turned to where Daisy was working on an assembly of disjointed wooden arms. "How's everything coming along on your end, Daisy?"
"I finished a while ago with the pulley, but I could use some help getting this center axle put into place." Daisy blushed as she tried to hold the shaft up.
Shantae nodded. "No problem."
Daisy was struggling with the heavy metal rod due to large gear on the end. She definitely couldn't get it slotted into place without help. Everytime she tried to lift it above her head, the awkward piece of machinery threw her off balance.
Shantae, seeing her new friend having difficulty with the component, hurried over to assist Daisy with sliding the opposing spline into another set of gear. Once the axle shaft was secured, the two women worked together to get the wooden arms slotted into the iron rod. Daisy slid numerous wooden limbs into the metal gear and Shantae would tighten each of the lifeless limbs to axle shaft.They had to stand on step stools to reach the bar and get each arm into place, but after a bit of work and elbow grease, the machine was finally finished; each set of arms was put into their appropriate place.
Both women were feeling a bit tired as they stepped back from the odd amalgamation of cogs, gears, ropes, bolts and pipes. After working all morning long, the two women could only gaze at the curious machine, admiring their hard work. The tub was the largest component of the machine, and rightly so, since it was meant to wash babies for their busy mothers.The wooden, jointed poles, dangled lifelessly above the tub from the axel, waiting to be awakened and out to work. A sinister shadow filled the window as Risky Boots, Queen of the Seven Seas, lurked just outside. She watched as her nemesis, Shantae, walked out of the room with a woman in an orange dress. Despite having to abandon her crew and the mighty Part Omni-Organic, Partially Titanic, Ocean-Optional Tinkerslug to pursue Shantae, she was still a force to be reckoned with.

However, without her crew and slimy slug sailing ship, she knew that she would have to get creative to beat the half genie. Peering through the window once more, she could see just what Shantae and that other woman had been tinkering on. She didn't know what it was at first glance, but she knew that it was going to be the tool to achieve victory! How foolish of her enemy to leave that device sitting inside the room alone!
If she could get inside the room, sabotage the machine and hide before Shantae could figure out anything was a miss, Risky Boots knew that she would finally have Shantae right where she wanted her!
