There's one in particular about the gender of the kids in Blind Alley that I feel is a worthwhile expression of an easy to miss intention of mine within the strip.

I definitely do know more than readers. I know where and when Blind Alley takes place and why there's all this strageness...whether or not I reveal that to you, who can say! :o) Crane and Pip it happens the most to but it does occasionally happen with the other kids too.

Reading about the value you place on ambiguity is interesting. But it does compel me to ask — would you say that you, the author, know things that we the readers don’t? Or are you not much more clued in than we are? Also wondering— you mention that your characters tend to get misgendered. I’m wondering who you’re referring to other than Pip, who I interpreted as a boy before realizing you referred to them in neutral terms. The others seem pretty clear cut to me, with the possible exception of Crane. (I like that one commenter who said they preferred to think of Crane as a literal skeleton child. 😆)
