It's very funny as it's a total coincidence that probably emerged from my subconscious. I've never read What's Michael but have been aware of it for most of my life hahaha.

Uncle Michael wasn’t by any chance named after the eponymous cat in the manga “What’s Michael?”, was he? They share a similar body type, now that I think about it. 🙃 Though Uncle Michael is as stoic as Michael was goofily expressive.
