That means he's in a consultant position: The aircon / heated office, doesn't have to answer to anyone. The question is, when will there be a new trainee aka padawan for Max? The problem with the trades these days is so many knowledgable old guys with years of wisedom regarding mouse hunting tactics and no younguns to take up the trade...

Darren B McLellan

My 07 2500HD had the 6.0 gasser and hydra-boost. Maybe they just put it in all the 2500HDs?

Sammy Fender

Kinda like me!!

He mostly stays home now. I think he's 11. After our morning walk he's pretty spent.

Sammy Fender

I think Max is old enough to deserve a heated pad/bed

Sammy Fender

Did you notice your voice crack a bit when you said "ALL of the brake lines"? And you could make a video of paint drying interesting to watch!

Adrian Gadd

Hey Max.

adorfer

@wes if possible, please turn off "AI autotranslate". your German overdub is horrible!

Kowyn Hibbert (Warrior of the Rusty Wrench)

I'm not sure but the reason they're no longer using stainless steel tube nuts maybe because of stainless steels tendency to gall up on the threads, at one time I was doing a lot of assembly with stainless steel fasteners and we were told definitively to always put loctite on the threads no matter what, counter to what your intuition would say this was actually to ensure that it would come apart if need be, the loctite insured that when torqued if it had to come apart it wouldn't gall up.

James Phillips

Wes, there's a lot of people that don't know how to do this. You and I especially you have done this hundreds of times. Now is the time that we have to give back as we are responsible citizens. Many people have no idea of how to do this or where to even get the parts. I have no idea what this job would cost saying it to a shop or to the the dealership but they could save a lot of bucks if they watch this. So you're not boring. You're educating and you're doing a good job of it Wes. Would have been fun to show I using an air chisel that has the socket that fits the bleeder screw and it's got a little handle you turn as you Hammer the daylights out of the brake bleeder screw and take the rusted one out. Keep up the good work, Wes.

Curtis Roberts

I love the bleed screws that are so rotted you just keep beating smaller and smaller sockets on until one bites. You got lucky this time. Kit looks pretty handy. I've never used one. Always end up doing piecemeal work on brake lines

Eddie Williamson

In all my years of doing my own wrenching I've never had to replace a brake or fuel line. Thanks God I'm a Southern boy! I have put mouse traps under the seat and hood although my worst animal damage by far was when my American Bulldog puppy decided to eat every wiring harness under my truck he could get to one day.

CapnMac82

Getting those lines straightened without kinking them is some serious skills. Which is hard to highlight in a video. The flares do mean you can't fit a spring bender on the pipes. So, great job. And a great dog.

Jeffry Blackmon

"Might as well fill this thing wit cheese." Great one, Wes. Thanks for the info about Dorman pre-bent lines.

Russell Middleton

Keep up the good work.

Darran

Good job on the pipes. Are you going to do a video on your newer truck?

ɥsoſ uʍop ǝpᴉsd∩ (ʘ︹ʘ)

That's a lot of labor time $$$, but this truck looks like it's in pretty good shape for its age, so I imagine the owner intended to keep it going for as long as possible, and is willing to spend what it takes to do so. Good for him!

Richard Coghill

Nice job. Thank you for taking the time to make the video. Good tip on loosening the rusty bleeders.

Bill Rutherford

I think when they build cars, they start with a frame then next is the brake lines. You were magnificent with these lines. Of course, Chevys are tough, rust resistant trucks! :-)

Martin lewis

I'm 10 seconds in and I'm shocked at how crisp the image is. Have you started using a new camera or something?

Conner Wright

I’m surprised you don’t have an induction bolt heater

Stephen Meeks

Hey, girl, I could give you a brake from your boring life if you would go out with me.
