2022 Goals, Frontend Remake
🕑 Added 2022-01-01 20:08:14 +0000 UTCHey all,
I wanted to say thank you to all who gave their support in 2021 to this website <3
With 2022 launching I thought it would be good to touch base on what I have been working on for MyWaifuList.
One of the core issues I keep running into with the site was related to Google, SEO, user experience, etc. After a long uphill battle of minor adjustments in various places I decided to just say fuck it and start remaking the entire site frontend using vue3, typescript, and vite. This also includes a lot of backend updates as a lot of old patches and code will be just deleted. I cannot really express how much less code is required with vue 3's SFC syntax.
The site is under development now and I am working on it almost daily to get it up and running under the new UI so I can focus on bringing new features again.
Improvements
- Massively improved mobile UI
- Accessibility friendly components
- Ability to resubmit waifus \ edit waifus before approval
- Better dark\light UI
- Lower payload size, faster loading, less third party libraries
- [Patreon Only] Gallery Mode
- Submit Details: Studios
2022 Vision
- Launch new user interface
- Implement Meilisearch to help users find waifus
- Weekly Moist Meter for seasonal characters (output PNG support, like infographic?)
- Weekly Moist Meter for anime shows (output PNG support, like infographic?)
- Finish native application
- Discord Bot: Waifu Roll & Claim
Thank you for your support
You all keep the site going with your contributions and it would not exist with you.
