This is a 3.5-hour step-by-step Houdini and Redshift tutorial to create a flower blooming effect.

If you want a lot of faces, just increase the subdivision level. If you need more complex flowers, there are different types of flowers in my other content.

Hi! I’ve watched the entire course, but I didn’t quite understand something. In the final result, the geometry looks more low-poly, whereas earlier we were creating high-res geometry for the petals and other detailed parts of the flower. I’d really like to use the high-poly geometry in the final stage as well, but I couldn’t figure out how to do that. I’d appreciate it a lot if you could clarify this for me!
