[DCI] Chapter 63 - To Leap Into Unkown

We are back! Time to wrap up the second volume and move on :) As usual, no specific schedule for this series, but I'm aiming for the weekends as in the past.

I remained still for a silent moment, just relishing the warmth of two bodies pressing into me. There were a few specific things that I enjoyed feeling on my skin both from the front and the back, bringing a slight smirk to my lips. But, as much as I would love to stay like this forever, surrounded by the two ladies I had definitely fallen for, we had lots of things to do.
Therefore, I sighed gently as my fingers grazed over Levia’s smooth skin, trailing down her spine until they reached her plump bottom. Taking in the blissful sensation for the last time, I drew my face back and the petite Witch mirrored the motion, taking her chin off my shoulder and meeting my eyes.
“Thank you,” I whispered and stole her delicious lips.
Levia reciprocated my affectionate kiss immediately, clearly adhering to her earlier words about them being mine and wanting me back just as much as I wanted them. She invited my tongue for a lazy dance as I lightly brushed her tender behind. I did not hold back anything as I explored her lithe figure and hot mouth for a good minute or so.
A faint string of saliva connected our lips as we finally parted and I wiped it off her sweet mouth with my finger after bringing one hand from her rump. She graced me with the tiniest smile, satisfied with my response and change in mood from the previous, sulky atmosphere.
Not wanting to leave my first partner unappreciated, I slowly tilted my head to the side and met Aisha’s excited eyes and wide grin. She didn’t wait for me to come for her. Oh, no, she dove for my lips like the hungry beast that she was and fought me for dominance. I knew well what game she was playing and matched her assault with my own efforts, battling her invading tongue with my own.
As our exchange grew sloppier by the second, her hands roamed my chest and stomach increasingly bolder, quickly inching towards the edge of my boxers. But, someone clearing their throat once more interrupted her impure intentions and we glanced at Lulu, our pink-skinned guest whom we might have forgotten about in the heat of this emotional moment.
I chuckled into Aisha’s mouth and escaped her paused attack with a fleeting nibble on her bottom lip, getting ahold of one of her majestic horns. “Thank you too but this is enough. Get dressed. We are not alone.”
Angling her head slightly to the side, I placed a sucky kiss on her exposed neck and left a gentle bite on it too, evoking a throaty moan from the draconic lady. Before she even finished enjoying the little spike of pleasure, I threw her away right toward the pieces of underwear she had discarded a few minutes ago.
As she grunted in dissatisfaction with her ass up in the air, I picked up Levia’s bra and assisted the pretty Witch with putting it on.
“Why does she get to be dressed by you while I have to do it myself?” Aisha whined while watching me pull Levia’s panties up her legs while the little elf lady rested her back against my chest.
“Because she was a good girl.” I smirked at her. “Behave and you’ll earn your reward.”
She clicked her tongue and grumbled something about me being so turned on by bad girls under her nose while wiggling her ass into her black shorts. I finished with Levia before her and my beautiful Witch presented me with a peck on the cheek before crawling out of my lap.
So sweet.
In the past, I might have been all about Aisha’s straightforward and fierce type, but now, I wasn’t so sure anymore if I didn’t love Levia’s gentle and quiet way of caring for her partner just as much.
Well, why would I have to choose anyway? There could be multiple best things in the world, not just one.
“Alright. We’ve learned a bit about the situation on the lower level from our very eventful scouting attempt, and about our upcoming opponent from Levia’s divination, but I dare to say… this shit is nowhere enough to be relatively safe.” I sighed while rubbing my chin.
“I agree.” Levia made a delicate nod. “The Witch is still a big unknown. Besides the Rib Titan, we do not really know what else we are up against down there.”
“The issue is, gathering more information about that is extremely dangerous too,” I continued after her. “The giant fuck can easily smash the spires with us inside, the flying hands can throw us off the stairs on the outside, and the ground is clearly flooded by Skeletons. There’s a lot of things that can go wrong there and we’ve been lucky to come out unscathed the last time.”
“That was scary…” Lulu giggled nervously. “Even with my abilities…”
“What’s the plan, then?” Aisha asked, back to her serious mode, more or less.
“I don’t know,” I admitted, scrunching my nose. “I would really love to scout things out like we always do, but it’s too risky. I thought about leveling up a bit more and then heading in with some new skills and stats, but we’ve licked the top floor clean so much it’s a slipping hazard now.”
The drakan lady snickered at my comparison. “So, our only option to do that effectively is again the lower level. Which is pretty much the same as scouting.”
“Exactly.” I trail my fingers through my hair and grip it strongly. “Should we just raise whatever we can right now, stock up on whatever we can get, prepare the best we can with our resources and funds, and have at it?”
“Do we have any other options?” She shrugged. “It honestly doesn’t sound like it. The longer we wait, the stronger our opponent gets, and the less time we have to make another attempt after we fuck up and have to retreat. I think this is the best course of action. We are stronger than your typical Defenders, especially together. Just your presence strengthens us.”
“Regarding that part…” Lulu hesitantly interjected. “Did I hear something about an… Overlord… earlier?”
The three of us exchanged glances and turned to her.
Aisha smacked my bicep a few times. “Yep. You are looking at him. The almighty lord of sex in the flesh. Still think you can handle that cock, girlie?”
Lulu swallowed loudly, her rosy skin turning a tad paler.
“Since the cat is out of the bag, yeah, I am an Overlord, but I see nothing beneficial in acting like all those asshats I’ve heard so much about from Aisha,” I added. “So, you don’t have to worry about me enslaving you or bringing you any kind of agony.”
“Except for withdrawals,” my drakan mate commented. “She’s a lust imp, remember? Not getting enough of your dick after experiencing it for the first time would surely be total agony for her.”
I rolled my eyes at her remark. “Anyway, just continue thinking of me as a Commander and everything will be fine. A Commander with benefits, I would say. You’ve already witnessed some of those.”
“I’ll try…” Our imp guest smiled wryly.
“Do we all agree with the current plan, then?” Levia asked calmly and I was glad to return to the main topic of this meeting. “I can use the white moss we gathered to create some stimulants for us.”
“Oh, come on. You’ve had him like an hour or two ago and you are already itching for more? And it’s supposedly me who is the insatiable one.” Aisha huffed at her while crossing her arms under her impressive bust.
Okay, I’d been wrong. No main topic anytime soon yet.
“It can be used to stimulate plenty of things other than reproductive organs when processed properly, so no, I’m not already itching for more,” Levia replied firmly. “Compared to you, my mind is already focusing on making our master safer during our upcoming expedition rather than on his manhood slamming into my vagina.”
My drakan partner snorted. “Don’t talk like you aren’t thinking about it. I know your silent, loner type. You guys crave it like crazy after the first time.”
“Girls, focus.” I stepped in before this argument dragged on forever. “What is this about stimulants?”
“I will not deny looking forward to receiving more of Lucas’ physical affection. And never will.” The petite elf stared her down for a few seconds before turning to me. “They are a great source of energy, enhancing one’s body to be more efficient. You tire less and much slower while being strengthened. This could allow us to spend more time on the field without needing a break. It might be possible for us to learn whatever we can about the situation and move to deal with it right after.”
I nodded to myself. “Sounds good. It would certainly be useful. I can give fatigue boosts to you two but Lulu could use something like this to keep up with us. How hard is it to make those?”
“It is simple for me, but the process takes a while. Less than a day if I start soon. I should be able to prepare six doses at once,” Levia replied.
“Great. We might come up with something else in the meantime.” I smiled at her softly. “What about your arcanas? We won’t really have enough time to figure out a better metal for their base, but you mentioned using the crystalized energy we got from the Seed as the ink after liquefying it.”
She shook her head. “Too sophisticated. I would need to set everything up first and there are just too many steps. This is an extremely advanced and dangerous alchemy. I am not sure if a week would be enough to even start.”
“I see. Forget that I asked, then. We will work on this after solving the current crisis. It won’t do us any good neglecting this boon for too long.” I tapped myself on the thigh. “And you, Lulu? Anything to add?”
“Me?” The imp girl squeaked in surprise. “Uh… I don’t think I can do a lot besides preparing my gear… Listening to you guys discuss this, I kind of realized that I might have been focusing too much on a single thing…”
Aisha reached out and fluffed her pink hair strongly. “I know how you feel, shortie. But, that approach is the standard one, not this one. We always focus on our skills and abilities since that’s what we are best at. It’s just this guy who is the weird one and looks everywhere else but. Do you know what was the first thing he thought of instead of raising his Class? Learning Telekinesis! A physical Overlord!”
“What?” Lulu frowned while glancing at me.
“Yeah.” My energetic girlfriend laughed. “And look where it got him. He can now casually fling two handaxes around with the power of his brain. We’ve been doing this shit wrong all along. But, don’t feel bad for it.”
“You are exaggerating. I just knew a little more than you and used that knowledge to my advantage,” I said.
“Bullshit.” She grinned. “You were as surprised as I was when you got that skill. You didn’t pick Telekinesis up with it in your mind.”
“Fine. It was a stroke of luck coming from my unusual choices.” I raised my hands in surrender and chuckled lightly. “So, Lulu, just do what you’ve always been doing and prepare for a possible boss fight. We’ll be taking this Dungeon down in a day or two. That fine with you? Or do you want to wait this one out?”
“There is no way I’m holing myself in my room and letting you three go alone. I’m not that kind of person.” She sat up straighter. “Besides, if you fuck up, I’m very well as dead. We should have a higher chance of success together.”
“Great. We will be in touch, then. Thanks for your cooperation.” I extended my hand to her and we shook on it with smiles.
Since there was no reason to keep her here for any longer, we chatted for a few more minutes and I escorted Lulu to the entrance. I wasn’t sure how much she rested after we had returned from the depths. The three of us had caught about two hours of sleep after my sweet time with Levia, but the small imp looked quite tired.
Afterward, I returned to the apartment and met up with both girls in the middle.
“Time for math?” Aisha cocked a brow at me with her fists on her hips.
“We may as well.” I chuckled. “We’ve saved up quite a few points for this occasion. Too bad we didn’t hit Level 15. Not like it would have changed that much, but still.”
“We might have if we were alone in this Dungeon,” she commented.
I walked up to the desk while my drakan mate grabbed an additional chair from the kitchen complex and brought it with her. Levia slid onto my lap as I took my own seat while Aisha sat down next to us.
“Remind me to get us something comfier later. I can’t have you using kitchen furniture forever,” I said, glancing at her.
“Ooooooh, I’m moved you care so much for my ass.” Aisha batted her eyelashes at me while touching her chest. “Don’t worry, I always make sure to keep it all tender and bouncy for you.”
I snorted while shaking my head and directed my attention to the monitor in front of us. “So, who goes first?”
“Let’s start with the newest addition. Then we can go up in hierarchy,” she suggested with a smug grin.
“Sure. Levia’s state definitely changed the most since the last time we checked it.” I shrugged and navigated to our Witch’s submenus. “Yeah, I can already see that she got my shared abilities, meaning Red String, For the King, and Unwavering Loyalty. You are now my true Bonded, Levia.”
“I am glad to hear that.” The petite lunar elf showed a gentle smile as she followed the movements of my cursor. “These skills enhance my stats and resistances, right?”
“Correct.” Aisha nodded. “The first one lets us sense each other accurately from long distances. The second one gives you a ten percent stat boost per other Bonded by your side, which is me. And the last strengthens your mind and protects it from various invasive techniques and magics.”
“We had no one to activate For the King previously so this will be a great addition to our power now. Thank you for joining us.” I pat the quiet Witch on the head.
“The pleasure is mine,” she responded. “I am happy to be part of your team. And your family.”
A wide smile threatened to take over my lips and I was glad she couldn’t see me trying to fight it down. But, Aisha could and she smirked at me knowingly, making the smile win. Cursed woman. It was impossible to keep cool in front of her.
Ignoring her gaze, I pulled up Levia’s status.

Normally, you get a temporary ten percent whenever you are near Aisha. So, this is like sixty percent in total or something,” I explained. “Also, it says twenty-seven hours while twenty-four was max before, so it looks like Touch of Love leveled up for me. Thirty hours must be the new max. Nice.”
“That is a lot,” she mused quietly. “Just as the number of points we have to distribute now.”
“Anything you have in mind?” I gently stroke her thigh.
She glances up at me. “Would you mind sharing your opinion with me?”
“Naturally.” I smiled at her. “Let’s see… We have twenty-eight… You are focusing on arcana this run so we certainly need to raise Mystique… I would say up by ten points… But we shouldn’t leave Ingenuity too far behind so we give it five points… Wisdom and Intelligence are important for you as a magician… We have thirteen left… Then, I would suggest five for Wisdom, seven for Intelligence, and the remaining one into Constitution so it reaches the ten-point. This should be a well-balanced upgrade for the intense boss fight. What do you think?”
“Yes. I would like to follow your suggestion,” she agreed without a word of protest. “It has proven to be valuable previously.”
“Of course it did. He knows what he is talking about.” Aisha snickered.
“If you say so.” I added everything up. “Here’s how it looks now.”

“Our Overlord of Lust, you mean,” Aisha corrected her. “I doubt other paths strengthen their Subordinates this much. It’s always all about taking everything for themselves while abusing their miserable slaves.”
“We should remember to make use of this ability before we depart to slay the evil Witch,” I said.
She grinned at me impishly. “You would like that, wouldn’t you?”
“You bet.” I smirked back at her, visibly ogling her alluring body from top to bottom.
“It’s great to see you not holding back. You could almost pass as a drakan.” She winked at me. “Now, show mine. I want to see some big numbers too.”
Without further ado, I switched characters.

“No, you aren’t.” I shook my head. “For the King is Rank E for you. It looks like it gives a twenty percent bonus now.”
“Neat.” Aisha turned to face me. “When are we getting our next token? This is going to get crazy the more girls you bed.”
“Slow down.” I laughed. “It hasn’t even been half a day since Levia joined us officially.”
“She is not wrong, though,” the person in question added.
“Not you too…” I sighed heavily, making Aisha snort and evoking a tiny smile on Levia’s lips. “This is a topic for after the clear. Get your mind into stats now.”
“Just go with your strategy. It’s going to be better than mine anyway.” She shrugged.
“Oh, come on. Are you not even going to try?” I raised a brow at her.
“Fine. Even though Levia didn’t have to.” She crossed her arms under her chest, intentionally emphasizing her bust. “Since this is going to be dangerous, I think I should spread a little this time too. I’ll add only five into Fury, then five more into Agility, just in case. Ten into Constitution since that’s never a bad pick. Finally, ten more into Strength so I can smash all those bones harder.”
I rubbed my chin while reviewing what she’d just said. “It should work, I guess. Since you are focusing on Fury, you don’t waste anything on upgrading Perseverance right now to be tougher by going with Constitution instead. We can add five to the former after the fight to balance it out a bit more. Great. Let me make the changes.”
After a few clicks, the points were distributed.

“Maybe from time to time. It would certainly feel amazing bossing you around.” I grinned at her. “Let’s see… I should go wide just like everyone else, especially since I’m the weakest link, and kind of jack of all trades. I’ll do four into Strength, five into Agility and Constitution, then five into Leadership too, and ten into Charisma. The remaining one goes to Wisdom. That makes many full tens in case some weird skills would like to pop up again.”
A moment later, it was done.

“You know what that means?” Aisha gave me the look.
“That we are going to get our well-deserved sleep,” I cut her off and stood up with Levia in a princess carry.
“That you should make use of this perfectly safe method to permanently raise our strength whenever possible,” Levia continued after the sly drakan, looking calmly into my eyes with her enchanting, purplish irises.
“Diminishing returns.” I chuckled at her obvious message. “But trust me, I will. I very much will.”

Guess I'll add them in a separate chapter. The book does have a section with the skills and character stats but not Patreon.
