My thoughts are suspicious of the king, being a purported daughtercon… it must be somewhere in his mind that such power - of flame - would be… beneficial.. to his bloodline. Actually the king mentioned it was stronger than his flames. Could be a some primordial God or something.

This clears up a bit. It made the previous chapter feel a bit more valid. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Thank you!

I feel like Asterios might be related to the king? Or maybe the same race? If he’s not related I see the king trying to fix him up with his daughter. Awesome chapter.
