Good chapter. It's awesome you went all the way back to the first slave he noticed in that shop. That one hell of a full circle!😊

I know this may be the wrong chapter to place this, but I've been chewing the over for a while now. I believe the Goddess has unexpectedly found her true hero. Someone she feels she can trust her life with, and that being Al. Once Al finds Lillith and bonds with her, he'll be amazingly powerful. None of the other heroes will even come close to his power. So Lumina will give him the knowledge to kill her sister. IMHO. (And yes, I foresee an orgy in his soul realm with those that can get there. Hihi!)

Termac

Since no one else has said it yet… God damn is Rene adorable.

Termac

… And I only just realized how well-done the scene is where he activates the soul relic for the first time. He accidentally cuts his finger and immediately uses Rejuvenate to heal it and the king assumes it's the blood, and not the mana that activated the hilt and calls it a blood-bound artefact.

Saileri

Ah, you meant as the weapon was actually the "vault"? Interesting idea hah. Ailish can move into his Soul Realm because they are connected through her vow. It wouldn't be that easy otherwise. Even Al can't "yet" go in there himself.

Termac

> splitting her soul from her body Oh. I get it. Heh. And here I thought her body and soul were both in the hilt, the way Ailish can move her entire self, body included, into Al's soul.

Saileri

He didn't exactly point the hilt out as a direct connection to Lilith yet. Why? Because let's remember what he knows is (and is true to him at the moment) that the hilt houses a soul of a very powerful sorcerer that locked it inside the crystal. Lilith is believed to be asleep in some vault. Splitting her soul from her body could have been an issue to get it back later possibly. But, it's also not like he is ignoring the hilt, as I mentioned earlier. We'll see soon.

Actually I meant asking Ross to maybe have people look through the royal archives or ask around for legends/rumors about Lillith. Aside from that, it wasn't stated whether Al even suspects his weapon as a clue, even though it seems rather obvious to me - though perspectives may differ as they do in most cases. Or more like I can't remember if it was stated that he suspected his weapon in conjunction with the whole Lillith deal?

Saileri

Ross knows pretty much nothing about the artifact. As for Al, he decided to leave investigating it until he gest strong enough for it to not support him while using it, which could possibly be now or very soon. Also, there's one crucial element that is necessary for him to investigate it and that element will soon fall into his hands. It was already mentioned not that far in the past.

n00by_ME

I wonder when Al will figure out that his weapon is the clue he needs for the whole Lillith "questline" he seems to ignore completely. Haven't seen him really looking for clues either. No "let's ask Ross" or anything. It IS a bit painful to watch, him running around with the obvious clue strapped to him, quite literally in fact. xD

n00by_ME

He did fail once, way back with that auction where he ended up with nothing left in the mana-bank and cornelia ended up saving him. It wasn't a huge failure, but a meaningful one; haven't seen him with an empty mana-bank since then. At least not in an obviously hostile environment.

The Tallest Tree

Al seems like a great person. I like watching him solve shit. But I think it would be interesting to see him fail as well. Not in a permanent, irrevocable sense, but in a meaningful way. I think it would help his development both in how he sees himself, and for those around him.

Saileri

Yep. Alastair didn't speak/interact to her, only heard her talk back.

Termac

I don't think he actually said anything to her directly, but yeah. She's definitely that same wood elf. Two tieflings were mentioned in that chapter, too, one of whom was described as having red skin.

Saileri

Most likely. There will be a chapter with Vanessa's return for sure. And it won't just be glossed over.

n00by_ME

Will we get a description of what she found in her brothers "workshop"? Though I think most of us already have certain expectations/ideas of what's in there, confirmation is always nice... even if it's the bad kind.

Lictor Magnus

She was the first slave that Al talked to when he went to that shop for the first time. He met her right before he met Sirgia.

Termac

This ploy will also serve a secondary purpose, which is to make Lucas look bad to his boss. A slave escaped on *his* watch, and a Ruby card holder ends up bringing her back, which in Selina's eyes will make her business look bad in Al's eyes. Additionally, Al's going to demand and exercise right of first refusal, when there is *already* a customer interested in buying her, which will make an already bad customer experience even worse for that person. All because Lucas (and another employee, I guess) let a slave escape.

Saileri

Give her some time to do her things hah. She will come back soon.

Gunnar Crider

You tease. Twice in one chapter I thought the princess was back. Lol keep up the good work

Simon

Will do thanks!

Saileri

They will talk a little more in the next and further chapters of course, but I gave a few hints about the woman's identity :P Refer to chapter "Touring the Dormitories" for possible info :P

Simon

Nice! First, finally! TFTC! I dont remember the woman at the end, maybe include a short few sentences of recap to reintroduce a character after some time? Hell I needed those few words to jog a bit of my memory for Rene. The woes of having a growing cast
